SunWarriors Clutch - Mythical CreaturesHatching 13 November 2010 Pern date 8.20.6.5 Painter's Lake EggOf course one touch of this whimsical egg will prove that it's not water, but it might cause a few Candidates who prefer to spend their time around big bodies of water to sigh wistfully. Green Raisath - LarsiniRaisath is a long and lithe green with very feminine and delicate features. Her body is foam green except for darker markings along her sides and chest that are reminiscent of ocean waves cresting, and lighter soft little ripples of color over her wings and head. Based on Asrai Dense Foliage EggWhat caused a break in the forest? A small clearing, a lake, or just a little more room between a couple of trees perhaps. Whatever the cause, no one will ever know where this wonderful forest is, or if it exists at all. Nor will anyone know what secrets that forest hides. But at least the secrets of the Egg itself will be revealed soon enough. Green Blannith - TalinonShe's not the prettiest of greens, let's be honest. She has a certain look about her that might warn you to be cautious when approaching. And the talons, well, she'll use them, more than other dragons might. They're long, and strong, and just scary-looking. Oh, she won't be violent (at least not after that short time of Weyrlinghood before they learn restraint), but she'll carry on a bit more than she should with clawing at the ground or cleaning her claws if she's irritated at someone. Based on Black Annis Sky Blue Summit EggThis egg might appeal to those with a heart filled with adventure and a love of solitary exploration. What new things will the dragonet within discover with its chosen lifemate after hatching? You'll have to wait and see. Blue Indihath - RanennaeIndihath's unusual hide is covered in an ever changing hue of blues reminiscent of a flickering flame. Decorating his hide are hues from the lightest blue possible to the darkest blue and everything in between. Indihath will always be small and petite for a blue, just a little bit bigger than the biggest green. And if a blue's frame could ever be considered almost feminine, this lithely built blue would fit the bill. Based on Bluecap Hidden Beauty EggPeople who love pretty delicate things will be drawn to this egg, perhaps even tempted by the desire to peel back one of the petal like wings to get a little sneak peek at the treasure within. Its easy to imagine a bright bold bronze curled up within, a dapper blue, a noble bronze or a gem of a green. Who knows for sure. Whatever it is it promises to be lovely because such a pretty little egg wouldn't lie. Right? Green Naglinth - VestaWhen Naglinth first cracks her shell, people might wonder how such a sickly looking, and to be completely honest, ugly little dragonet could have come from such a pretty little egg. A mottled hide in a pale shade of nearly sickly green covers her scrawny, bony form and though one might expect such a spindly thing to be tiny she is actually fairly large for a green. Stamina will, oddly enough, be her strong point and despite her frail appearance she will be a good solid fighter. Based on Changeling Heart's Desire EggFor the swirls and sparkles are mere accents to the bright glowing center that seems to lie dormant deep within the egg. A center that seems to promise that once you get past the playful exterior, something bright and wonderful and terribly special lurks within. Blue Djinth - ZahirahTall and lean, Djinth often appears to loom over many of his clutchmates- the blues and greens at least- and his sharply angular features, craggy neckridges and jutting fangs join forces to give him a rather fierce visage. His hide would be considered quite attractive if it wasn't attached to such an alarming looking creature- it starts off as a dark navy at his head and then gradually lightens to a light cloudy blue by the time you get to the tip of his tail. Based on Genie Unshaped Clay EggIt looks like nothing more than a rough ball of wet clay, and should someone decide to circle around its shell, looking for a glint of colour or an interesting pattern? Well, they're bound to be disappointed. But if you can look beyond the dirty shell and think, the amazing, raw potential that this ugly little egg offers becomes apparent. Many wondrous, beautiful and useful things start off as lumps of unworked clay after all, perhaps the dragonet within will show the same potential. Brown Golth - KalSlow and steady and reliable, Golth is everything a brown should be. He's not big, he's not small. He's got no ambitions towards any of the golds. He'll be happy enough just doing his job in a wing. He's a solid, brown colour and he's in possession of a solid, brown, mind. It's not the sharpest in the toolbox by a long, long way, but if you'll do his thinking for him, he'll get on fine. You just have to word things carefully. If you tell him to start something, make sure to tell him at which point he should stop. Or he might continue forever. And ever. And ever. It doesn't matter what he's doing - eating, fighting Thread, sleeping - he just doesn't register that there is a point at which he has done enough. If you never told him to stop flying, he'd circumnavigate Pern. And believe you me, he's got the stamina for it. He's not fast, but he'll go on forever. And he won't complain - in fact, he'll never be a big talker at all, not even to his lifemate. Definitely not one of those dragons that'll speak to humans other than the one he's bonded to. There is very little in life, he'll find, that he can't get at through doing rather than talking it to death. Based on Golem Fierce Pendant EggSurely only the richest of Lady Holders or goldriders could afford this gem. Aas they may never get a chance as the rest of the egg is covered by what looks like a white open mouth, complete with sharp, deadly looking fang. It appears the mouth has already started to swallow the egg whole and just needs to finish swallowing the rest. Hopefully the egg will survive long enough to hatch! Bronze Falgryth - TalrandFalgryth starts out as a large bronze when he Hatches and doesn't get smaller from there. He'll always be on the larger, more intimidating size. Although he'll be a well put together, good looking bronze, he'll still seem to hulk and loom at times, though with a bit of a royal carriage. He'll be very well muscled and have larger wings than normal for his body. Because of the size of his wings he'll be apt to trip on them even as an adult if he doesn't hold them up a bit. As a result he'll prefer to sit there posing handsomely for everyone to admire or show off as he flies in the air. He'll walk only as far as necessity dictates and as an adult will have a strong distaste for moving about on land. Based on Griffin Down the Mine EggFor its almost as if someone went deep within the darkest mineshaft Crom has to offer, and then carefully carved a perfect egg out of the dank rocky wall. But close your eyes and run your hand over it if you dare- and if Foreth allows- and you will find that its shell is just as smooth and warm as any of the other eggs. Brought to the light, even the people who feel slightly off about the Down the Mine egg will have to admit that it has its charm. It is perfectly solid, stoic and the traces of pure cobalt add a trace of colour, if not necessarily cheer to its hard surface. Blue Lobokth - FerrikThis vibrantly hued, cobalt blue dragonet is a tiny little fellow for his colour , but that won't hold Lobokth back! Agile and quick, he is always on the move, whether in lessons, play, or later on when he fights thread. In fact he revels in any chance to show off his abilities and will practically preen at any compliments he receives. And if those compliments come after a particularly good maneuver that saved a wingmate he'll be all the more proud of himself. Based on Kobold Electric Ripples EggBronze Sharaketh - DyalenSharaketh's defining feature will be the unfortunate look of his body. His legs, tail, and wings all look a little out of proportion to his body. Partly it's an illusion caused by his quite heavily, but compact built body, but part of it is that he truly does have unusually long limbs. Somehow they all balance each other out and although he'll be almost useless on land, he'll be surprisingly fast, if horribly unagile in the air. Unfortunately his mottled bronze coloring does little to make this misunderstood dragon look any more attractive. About all he has going for him is that he's shiny almost to the point where he looks wet. Based on Kraken Tunnelsnake Nightmare EggBut no, surely Foreth would know which eggs are hers and which aren't and she doesn't seem fussed. Then again with other more important eggs for her to tend to, maybe this one got lost in the shuffle after all. Let's hope that's not the case. Green Shesadith - CerinaShesadith is a green among greens -- she lives the stereotype, at least to a point. Oh, she flirts, she plays, she is a tiny bit flightly, but when things are important, Shesadith buckles down. When it comes to her duties she doesn't need to be reminded twice that her job, her task, whatever her rider needs done, is important. It needs to be done and it needs to be done well. But that doesn't mean she won't show a glimmer of slyness when it comes to trying to achieve that task. Based on Naga Fires in the Sky EggFlames dance across the shell and burst into thick clouds of ash, overtaking the darkened sky which peeks forth through several openings. Whether Thread falls unseen behind the veil isn't revealed no matter how long it continues burning. No destruction's appeared though, given the vibrant bursts, a great battle must be being waged somewhere out of sight. Watchers won't even spot one speck of color they could've imagined as a dragon flying in the distance. Though covered in violent flames it stands a bright expanse on the Sands surrounding it. This egg truly seems to have set a sky on fire. Bronze Feeneth - SarvoyenFeeneth, from the moment his egg crumbled, stood untamed with amber and yellow-bronze tones painted across his hide. That fire remains once his wings've taken him aloft, burning the vibrant, azure sky, nor would it disappear unless caught in the daytime sun. His form's almost 38 feet long, making him large enough he can't blend into other background, but there's no sign he even tries; not when his unwavering stance moves as proud as expected from an overconfident bronze. There's even muscles chiseled across him in what's a buff, well-built appearance that no one'd mistake for anything besides strength. More strange though is his jaw; it seems misaligned with the lower ending somewhat short on his muzzle, making the topside hook over the bottom in what seems almost beak-like. Even chewing'll given him some problems until he learns how to do so without puncturing the roof of his mouth. Based on Phoenix Holder's Colors EggGreen Piksyth - RinyreSmall and sprightly, this green will never be anything but the tiny one of the pack. She's delicate and dainty, at least, to look at. She's a pretty dapple green, almost like looking at a forest of leaves. She'll disappear like a camouflaged thing as well when around enough trees. Her smaller body allows her to zip around in Threadfall with unusually precise control and speed. Of course that speed and agility comes at a price. She'll tire quite easily, especially if she doesn't learn to use the most of her abilities only as actually needed, and thus spend more of Threadfall resting rather than fighting. Based on Pixie Raindrop Dreams EggOr should something actually hatch from this disbelieved in egg. Blue Seelketh - EvertySeelketh will only ever be an average size in height and length. He'll be a little broader than normal in the chest and and shoulders, but his body will narrow towards sleeker hindquarters. That carved appearance leaves him seeming even larger and more prominent when he's beside a smaller dragon. He'll already stand out build wise, but his coloring will make him stand out more. The ultramarine and baby blue will entwine and curve in a confusing array on his hide. It's pretty, but a bit headache-inducing at certain places. Stranger still is the unusually loose hide on his feet that makes him appear to have webbed feet. Based on Selkie Warm Tapestry EggIt also has a lovely glow to it, a hint of cheery, sunny warmth that invites the viewer to get in close and enjoy. Don't feel bad about touching this egg, its there for your enjoyment! Blue Simurith - Aditia (Adi)Gentle, generous and benevolent are descriptive words that come to mind when meeting Simurith. This blue always has a kind word for anyone and is full of wise advice for anyone who is willing to listen to him. He loves young creatures of any kind and will be the type who would enjoy mentoring his clutchmates or younger dragons. Later on, he might even push his rider towards joining the ranks of the AWLM when they are both old enough for such responsibility. He'll also urge his lifemate for a family. With lots of littles please! He'll make as excellent a babysitter or wherpupsitter, or puppysitter, or whateversitter as a dragon can be. Based on Simurgh Sandswept Enigma EggNot a moment longer than its clutchmates, no matter what its time worn shell might claim! Still, even if it isn't quite as old as it seems to be it still possesses an air of quiet dignity as it stands stoic and unmoving amongst its oftentimes more garish peers. And what's with that marking on its shell? It almost looks like an egg within an egg- what could it possibly mean? Perhaps the dragonet within will reveal the answer when it hatches.. or perhaps not. Green Xinspeth - AnitraThe first thing you might notice about Xinspeth is her regal poise and demeanor. Every pose she takes seems carefully thought out, every footstep is placed with dignity and grace. She might seem a little stiff at times but if there's any discomfort, well, she doesn't show it. She is a well proportioned green, neither too large nor too small and she is comfortably average when it comes to physical skills. Based on Sphinx Milky Shimmer EggGreen Coyunith - RhennaCoyunith will be a long and lithe green when she grows up, and even as a Hatchling she'll be a bit more streamlined than some of her siblings. Her tail will be long and tapered at the end, but perhaps a little too thin to look entirely elegant with the rest of her body. And her head knobs will be unusually close together and long and will likely draw a lot of attention to her, especially as a Weyrling as when seen from the side they will look to one piece instead of two separate headknobs. Over all she comes off as a bit fragile looking. She's a pure green all the way through except for some darker lines that twine up and around her headknobs. Based on Unicorn Sun's Pride EggThough Foreth isn't liable to let anyone close to the egg of her most important daughter any time soon, those that do get to see it will likely count it a real treat. The golden facade of the Sun's Pride Egg looks a bit like looking into molten lava, the various shades of redder and browner golds to the more yellow and orange all seeming to roll around each other like lava bubbling around a volcano. Adding to the tumultuous feeling coming off the shell are the almost white lines streaking though the middle of the egg like lightening. And the final addition to the dramatic scene playing out on the Sun's Pride Egg is that the egg just seems to glow quite dramatically. Leave it to Foreth to lay an egg that speaks of fire and lightening. Only time will tell if her daughter will follow in the Queen's somewhat infamous wingbeats. Gold Valkath - BrioneValkath will be a slightly burnished gold dragon. She won't be excessively tall, but she will be longer than average without being on the extremely large end for a gold. Valkath will be quite a lithe and elegantly built gold, very feminine and dainty without appearing fragile. Her wings will be a touch too long and tail a touch long as well and they will forever get her in the way when she walks on the ground. She'll be a wonderful flyer or wader, but less than graceful at walking. Based on Valkyrie Blood Drop Opal EggOminous as that sounds, this egg has both beauty and charm, and when viewed up close it actually looks more gemlike than bloody as it appears to be full of charming little flaws that toss the light around and even a lovely glint of gold that almost seems to pay homage to its golden sister. It would look lovely set in a necklace for a fine young lady, or in a golden ring perhaps. Alas it is far too large to be set in a mere piece of jewelry, and while hatching would certainly crack its charming form the dragonet within is worth far more than any stone, no matter how valuable it may appear. Blue Zemuuth - TaayleeSporting a long lean body with a rich royal blue hide that is marred only by a bright blue diamond shaped patch between his headknobs, Zemuuth is a very handsome dragon indeed. And he is well aware of that fact. The only thing that keeps this dragon from driving others mad with his vanity is that along with a handsome body he was also gifted with a charming nature. For some reason witty banter, flattery and small talk come easily to this blue and though he is a little lacking when it comes to physical skills he will quickly find that a silver tongue can be just as useful as a strong body when it comes to making good impressions.
