Evil Turmoil Egg
Whisperers well away from Valkath may speculate that the egg and dragon inside certainly take after its Fortian sire. Others might worry that the poor dragon inside is just reacting to the stress and confusion of the times. Only time will tell if any of them are right.
Bronze Borangeth - Aledrin (Aled)
If dragons could be said to be exceptionally good looking, Borangeth would qualify. He has a muscular body and a head that is all sharp lines that straddle the line of being too heavily masculine. Of course handsomeness is a relative thing and for most greens and golds prowess in flights are much more important.
Based on Angel
Brass Under The Muck Egg
Look closer though, and maybe there's more to this egg than you first thought. In some places there's a silver-y gleam through the dirt, a hint of beauty which is quickly covered up. It's as though this egg *wants* to shine, but doesn't quite dare to. After all, it's a dangerous world out there.
Green Stakarth - Teyra
Little Stakarth has a long face and small headknobs. The combination makes her head look more of a horse's shape than a dragon's. She'll always be small and skinny, however much she eats, but there's muscle there. She's a strong little thing, likely to stubbornly go on through far more than she should be able to out of pure will. It's a useful trait, though not always one that will be particularly good for her.
Based on Ayra, Game of Thrones
Oily Yellow Egg
Touch the surface and you'll get a surprise. It's slick, almost greasy between the fingers, making your hand want to slide off. Who knows where the egg managed to pick up such an odd oily texture?
Brown Caciath - Tamant
As far as size and muscles go, Caciath is an impressive brown. Even from baby-hood he'll be able to heave things about and be eager to use his strength where-ever possible. Especially after eating, Caciath will feel able to take on the world - a full stomach and he can fight off the mightiest enemy!
Based on Bananaman
Harper's Furs Egg
Blue Tricerath - Jalmari
Tricerath hatches from the egg, alert, smart but rather shy. He is not at all certain of himself and for all that he is a bold stunning pure blue he has a tendency to drop back, worried that he will attract too much attention. Triceraths most notable feature is that he does have a tendency to express himself a little over formally or in complicated language - he'll get better as he starts to realise other people don't understand him, but he has a very impressive vocabulary for a dragon. Because he is quite shy, any dragon that becomes his friend will earn his undying loyalty and if there is one thing that Tricerath is, it is courageous and dynamic under pressure. If you need a dragon who can calculate firestone requirements for the wing in a second, Tricerath is your blue. If you need a dragon who can analyse strengths and weaknesses in a wing pattern, Tricerath can do it in a trice (pun intended!). He is the type of dragon who might be thought of as not having a lot of physical strength - and certainly there are better fighters of thread out there, but his insight and awareness protects those around him - and he would be the first to throw himself in front of a thread clump to save those he cares about. No one would ever suspect that from the shy seeming blue on the sands, but when they get to know him, they will find he is one of the most valuable dragons in the weyr.

In the Dark of the Night Egg
Bronze Bruweth - Drustan
Bruweth is a very dashing looking bronze. Not that his pride needs it, but he’ll have the greens sighing over him when he reaches his full size. His hide is a beautiful bronze, as if he has been polished to a high gleam before breaking his shell. He’s not a huge bronze. If he didn’t push himself so hard he might have been a lanky bronze, but stone-hard muscle has make him a force to be reckoned with. His wings are probably his most impressive feature.
Based on Bruce Wayne
Military Precision Egg
If it can be so smart, so can you surely? It's enough to make a Candidate want to stand up straighter and check their clothes and hair are tidy and well-presented. This is an egg that makes you want to live up to its standards. But can you?
Bronze Toracath - Vadrark
Some people - and dragons - are born to be leaders. Toracath is a large bronze, and an impressive one. His size promises that one day he could win many gold flights, and the length of his wings now suggests he'll have impressive stamina in the air when he's a little older. He speaks with the kind of charisma that makes people want to do what he tells them to. Truly, this dragon seems like a born Weyrleader's dragon. When he is older he could even perhaps lead a Weyr full of dragons back to Fort and reclaim his father's heritage.
Based on Captain Carrot
Crimson Ice Egg
Blue Klarenth - Iyreak
Long and leggy this vivid, sky blue dragonet will bumble out of his egg in a tangle of limbs and stammered apologies. He'll always be more than a little bit clumsy on the ground, as if he just doesn't quite get how long his muzzle and tail are and he'll forget about his wings when he's trying to squeeze through somewhere he doesn't quite fit. His lifemate will have to get used to things getting knocked over and broken whenever his dragonet is around- thankfully he'll be far too large to fit inside his rider's quarters as an adult and thus any breakables will be safely out of his reach.
Based on Clark Kent
Morning Has Broken Egg
It's full of beautiful colour then - peaches, oranges and pinks - all of the promise of a new dawn. There's a warmth to it which draws eager Candidates in, the feel that here is a beginning, here is a new day, and who knows what adventures we'll have together before the sun sets again?
Morning has broken, and it's going to be a lovely day.
Green Veranoth - Jedya
Some greens confound expectations, working until they can plan and lead as much as any bronze, and some just don't. Some are far happier to follow and see where life leads them.
Based on Dawn Summers
Copper Wonder Egg
No, but wait, is that a blue splash? Some purple? A bit of bronze just a bit too dark to be called gold? Unfortunately this egg does follow the rule that a golden egg must be one colour only. Gold.
But don't feel bad, this egg is proud and beautiful, strong and sure of itself. Maybe it doesn't hold a gold but please don't hold that against it! The dragonet within will be a wondrous little creature, be it bronze, green, brown or blue and someone very lucky will meet their match come hatching day.
Green Dianath - Uffenski
Haughty as a golden queen, Dianath is a green who considers herself an equal to all of her draconic peers, be they green, blue, brown, bronze and yes, even gold. As a result she will demand that her rider seek the same respect and will push her lifemate hard at any sign of weakness. She sees no reason why she should be considered a lesser dragon merely because of her colour- a green can do things that the bigger dragons can't after all!
Based on Diana Prince
Sword Cut Egg
Here and there it almost looks as though someone took a sword and slashed at the egg. The cuts are all over the place some long, some short, some wide others thin, and some seem to have just scratched the surface while others appear to have cut past the shell letting a yellow light shine out of the egg. What that colour might say for the dragon within isn’t clear, the egg obviously does not hold another baby gold dragon for Arolos, but perhaps within lies a bronze that who thinks he shines as much as any gold, or a green who, despite her colour, thinks she is every bit as good as a gold. Whatever the case is though, answers will only be discovered on Hatching Day as none of the ‘cuts’ were deep enough to reveal the dragon growing within."
Brown Zorrth - Bif
Not a particularly large brown, Zorrth’s lean body is built for agility and speed, rather than stamina. The majority of Zorrth’s hide is a uniformed medium shade of brown, however from his rather large headknobs to just below his eyes is a very dark shade of brown. A shade dark enough that some people who didn’t know better might swear was black. Other than the colouring on his face and his overly large headknobs the thing that stands out most about this brown is his tail. Longer than normal, and a great deal thinner as well, Zorrth is often flicking it around at quick speeds and if he’s not paying attention to where he is when he is flicking it he’s liable to hit something. Depending on what he hits his rider may find himself needing to clean up something that broke or comfort a dragon who hurt his tail whacking it against a wall.
Based on Don Diego Vega
Purple Rain Egg
Green Jyketh - Zyreai
While she certainly isn’t an ugly dragon by any means, Jyketh is not a feminine green in terms of her looks. Her hide is the same shade of dark, dirty looking green across her body. She’ll hatch on the smaller side of average in terms of length and will remain there her entire life. Despite being short in terms of length though, Jyketh’s body is bulky and as she grows she’ll become fairly muscular. Her body type will make her one of those greens with a goodly amount of stamina and lacking in terms of agility. She can still turn faster than a brown though, just not as fast as her slimmer sisters and despite her higher stamina, she still wouldn’t be able to fly a full Fall.
Based on Dr Jekyll
Walking On Broken Glass Egg
Better not to touch it too much. Not if you want it to make it through to Hatching Day.
Blue Lijath - Jadziamina (Jadzia)
This little dragon will Hatch looking more grey than blue, and struggle to make it out of the egg without help.
Based on Elijah Price
Azure Fire Egg
...And then in the next moment it seems ordinary again. Who will it blaze for next?
Brown Belgarth - Zersan
Belgarth is a sandy looking brown, quite normal in appearance aside from a paler circle of creamy brown on his right foreleg. He's not too large, not too small and he looks average in many ways and is possibly very surprising to be concealed in such a vibrant looking egg. However, like many ordinary looking dragons, he has hidden depth, though it will take him a while to grow into it. He's a very practical brown, sensible in a lot of ways, and independent and in the future this innate common sense and practicality will make him ideal for leadership roles...which he won't want to do particularly but will end up doing because who else would do them. The most notable thing about Belgarth is his strength of will. When he decides on something he can make it happen. He throws everything into it, no compromise and as a result he will be the type of dragon you'd want around if you wanted to pull off the impossible. He is quite a sociable dragon, and likes to be in groups and takes the wellbeing of his wingmates seriously. When it comes to flying thread, he is the type of dragon who will believe he can take on Fall singlehandedly - and with Belgarths determination there is a possibility he might just win!
Based on Garion
Steel Alliance Egg
Brown Vakariath - Maitirm
Longer than your average brown, Vakariath would be considered quite large for his colour if he wasn't so lean. Not skinny lean mind you, but the tightly compacted muscled lean that one might see in a runner, should you wish to compare dragon to human. He's not a particularly handsome specimen, his hide is a dusty greyish brown with a few darker rusty brown stripes around his mouth, and his teeth and neckridges are rather scraggly and pointed. Still, the look works for him and along with his personality this dragon does have a certain amount of charm.
Based on Garrus Vakarian
Dark Pendant Egg
Blue Zalricth - Ixion
Zalricth is unusually rugged for a blue. His dark blue body, though of normal length, is muscular. Almost overly so. As a result he lacks the speed of most blues and will always suffer in catching faster, more lithe greens. But those greens that have a larger than normal amount of stamina will be more accessible. Still, lacking the stamina of a bronze or brown, he will likely find himself seldom winning flights. Not that he doesn't try, especially when a green really catches his eye.
Based on Good Alaric/Bad Alaric
Grass Level View Egg
Green Surevoth - Luminska
Surevoth will be a dark green. Nearly the darkest a green can be, actually. She'll be mostly uniform in color, though here and there will be small swirls of slightly lighter colored green. They're so rare and small that someone that doesn't know her well might miss them altogether.
Based on Goood Snape
Wibbly Wobbly Citrus Egg
But back to the jello! Like so many tasty jello treats before it, there's something yummy sitting suspended in the middle.. is that some kind of green fruit ring? Hopefully not because we do expect a dragonet come hatching day. A bouncy giggly little green if the shell has anything to say about it!
Bronze Jhalth - Davander
Some people might be surprised when they see the gleaming bronze form of Jhalth burst forth from his bright green egg, as it might have been fairly reasonable assumption for the dragonet to match its shell. But he is definitely a bronze with the attitude and hide to match.
Based on Hal Jordan
Out of Phase Egg
And with a second glance it seems even stranger than that. People who squint hard at its shell might start to imagine a scene, a sunrise or sunset perhaps that doesn't quite fit in with the egg being a bubble. But still, its almost as if the image is fading away before their eyes. And Valkath's habit of shifting her eggs around on a regular basis might make concerned folk seek out this egg, just to make sure it hadn't followed up on its threat and disappeared.
Of course anyone who touches it will see that its shell is just as hard as any of the others, and that the Out of Phase Egg is not going anywhere until hatching day.
Green Kitaprith - Serofaya
Though she's a medium sized green, Kitaprith will always have a babyish charm to her proportions, large eyes, small knobs, chubby cheeks and body- even people not familiar with dragons will have to admit that she's cute and completely non threatening. Her hide is a lovely dappled green, reminiscent of the shadows underneath a leafy tree during the brightest part of the day though when she spreads her wings the membranes are so deep a green they almost appear black.
Based on Kitty Pryde
Patent Perfection Egg
Nope. Its definitely a dragon egg. A weird egg but that isn't saying much considering some of the others that have graced the sands over the turns. And in its defense it does look like really well made leather, perhaps a bit *too* perfect, a bit too mechanical… Still, odd eggs often call out to people and this one is sure to ring up a fan or two amongst the Candidate crowd.
Especially people who like fine leather footwear, if it wasn't an egg it sure would make one fine pair of shoes!
Blue Maxmarth - Leonard
Some dragonets are a little clumsy, little blue Maxmarth will make the worst of these look like a trained gymnast. From the beginning he'll trip and fall over anything, and if there isn't something to stumble over he'll make do with his legs, tail, wings, anything. His timing is impeccable too, is someone important making a speech? Well, seems like a good time to fall flat on his face. Wooing a green? Time to misstep and fall off the rim. He'll never actually hurt himself, and the dragonhealers will shake their heads because there isn't anything wrong with him physically. He's just clumsy.
Based on Maxwell Smart- Agent 86
Soft With Sharp Teeth Egg
By contrast, the cool hard surface of the egg might feel like a shock. It's as though you didn't get what was promised, coming across unexpected grit in something which seemed almost cuddly. Candidates would do well to remember - even the cutest animals can have a nasty bite.
Green Fioccath - Verral
Fioccath is a green who seems designed for others to fall in love with. Her small figure is perfectly proportioned, her colour a lovely deep, dark green. If she wanted to, she could very likely lead a very easy life between Falls, convincing males to do whatever she wanted with coy looks and hinting words.
Based on Nancy Wake
Webbed Spectacle Egg
And yet... it's undeniable. Some will get the chills from this creepy egg, while others manage to feel nothing but comfort and safety from it.
What is the true nature of this egg - and can eggs even have a nature at all? And either way, what secrets are held by the outer shell?
Blue Aracheth - Minquel
Generally a dark blue, fine lines of lighter blue trace their ways over Aracheth's body. A larger splotch of light blue covers his chest, while his wings reverse the theme - light blue with traceries of dark. Aracheth possesses a very lithe, lean build right out of the shell, one which he'll likely maintain as he grows.
Based on Peter Parker
Flames of Trouble Egg
Blue Rembouth - Lunder
Rembouth is a long, well-built blue. Although as a dragonet his legs and wings will be a bit large for his body he’ll always be sure on his feet which will make him good on the ground and in the air. Rembouth isn’t large enough or quick enough to be one of those rare blues that compete with browns, but he’ll always have a certain grace about him that says confidence. His hide is a handsome royal blue that is nearly unblemished except for a band of light blue circling each of his head knobs. They give his face an odd expression. Rembouth also has a strange, almost lazy way of talking that is at odds with his restless energy.
Based on Remy LeBeau
Tame Yourself a Tigress Egg
Green Selenyth - Nadia
Most hatchlings take time to gain their balance. Not Selenyth! She immediately displays a cat like grace seldom seen in one so young and is not a bit shy about showing it off. In fact she is rather proud of herself and not a bit bashful!
Based on Selina Kyle
Eye of Wisdom Egg
Green Serameth - Ashaya
Serameth is the epitome of an awkward green. She is long and lanky, her limbs far too much for a dragon born without much grace on the ground. This isn’t helped by the fact that Serameth won’t just take her time with things but will rush through activities she has no interest in. Serameth will have a very rough time on the ground but will actually be almost ethereal and pretty in the air. Her sleek body will slice through the air and she will be her happiest and calmest flying at night with the stars as her only flying companion.
Based on Serena
What would cause a dragon egg to look like it was peeling and does the red glow spell bad mojo? Only time will tell.
Blue Dalvoth - Ranolt
Dalvoth is a dark, dark blue. Uniformly except for head and paws, which are as pale as the rest of him is dark. He'll be only slightly longer than an average blue, but his almost skeletal body structure will make him look longer. No matter how much he's fed he'll look perpetually underfed. His paws will be thin, with awkwardly long claws. Moving on land will be difficult to him, but he'll take naturally to flying.
Based on Tom Riddle/Voldemort
All That Glitters Is Not Egg
Green Rosenbeth - Myna
Rosenbeth needs to know things. Not in the gossipy way of some greens - she cares very little for who is sleeping with who or who has a crush unless it is important to her for some other reason. But information about the Weyrleadership, about decisions made at the top and why, about the politics of other Weyrs - this stuff is like meat and drink to her.
