Name Pronounced: zan der (za ni der)
Appearance: Xan’der is a bit of a taller woman standing at something like 5’11” tall and she is a larger woman holding something like 150 pounds of weight to her. She is a bit of a bulky thing not overly so, but she is some other wise there would be no way she could truly weigh that much. Most of her weight is muscle built up from her time as everything from a Weyrbrat when she was younger to now a dragonrider and a dragon healer, but like most she does have those stubborn places to her. Like the bits around her stomach that prevent her from having those six pack abs, or the bits on her thighs that make them appear a bit larger then they other wise would be. Her face is at least lacking in any spare fat, but it doesn’t truly have to much appeal to it as far as she is concerned. Over all though she is sort of boxy looking, while her waist is a bit smaller then her hips and shoulders it isn’t very much smaller. She doesn’t exactly have the largest chest either, but she does have some more then she likes when she is trying to do her job but if she isn’t she thinks she could actually have more. So she has started binding her chest when she has to be in the infirmary or in fall, but wearing the usual breast band in drills or at any other times.
Personality: Not always the most patent of people at times it was probably a good thing she didn’t become a healer until after Xylonth found her. She does her best to keep calm, be detached, and do what is needed but sometimes riders can get to her when they are trying to tell her how to do her job. Her mate’s calming influence has helped her to be able to deal with these things more as the turns passed though and actually she has come to enjoy being a Dragonhealer more then she thought she would especially as dragons and their kin can be amusing, well when they are more in the ‘recovery’ stages of course. Though when it come to small injuries if their rider is there going on and on about helping them it des amuse her too even though she knows she would be doing the same thing she just can’t help it. It does get monotonous, but for the most part she likes it and finds it fulfilling.
History: Xanider was born in Benden Weyr six turns before the start of the pass, in the fifth month on the ninth day. Nothing much was really significant about her life she was raised in the crčche like so many brats who had rider parents and thought of the day she would be old enough to stand, and stand she did. When she turned twelve she took her right as a weyrborn and became a candidate, but it was two long turns before Xylonth found her.
Information about Xan'der (Xanider)'s dragon
Dragon Name: Xylonth
Wing (Weyrling Group): None
Appearance: Blackness, his hide is so dark it reminds many of the dark and cold blackness of *between*. It is not truly black though, just a very dark shade of blue known as midnight blue. The blue really stands out after he has just been oiled or during the high midday light. He falls on the small side for blues not being much larger then some of the largest greens, but it hasn’t seemed to bother him at all. The only thing that seems to mar this oddly dark hide are the patches of lighter blue where thread has gotten to him, but he has no real prominent ones to speak of.
Personality: He is a calm thing for the most part and definitely lives up to being blue. It is hard to get a rise out of him unless you throw him into the middle of fall. He is a good help to his rider in the dragon infirmary as he generally remains rather calm and just talks to the other dragon telling them what Xan’der is doing, or what she wants to do, or just generally comforting them as best as he can.
Weyr of Origin: Benden
Abilites and weaknesses: He is a strong flyer and can last a good bit of fall, the only problem is that like so many blues he will try his best to push himself past his limits. He does have to be watched for such things, but otherwise he is a steady blue and is dedicated to his rider, his wing, and his orders.
