W'careCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: Failing eyesight gives W'care a tendency to squint at people. He has rather watery pale blue eyes that he has to screw up occasionally in order to focus on something properly. That habit has also caused rather deep wrinkles to form around his eyes and nose that make him look far grumpier than he really is. Personality: Strictness and bad temper isn't limited to rankers. W'care may have no authority over any colour higher than green, but he *does* view himself as having authority over the Wing's younger greenriders, and behaves accordingly. It's only his *duty* to try and keep them in line after all, otherwise they'll be letting the Wing down. History: W'care was born Wincare in a rather poor little cothold close to Fort Hold. Five brothers and sisters meant that money was always tight, and his parents were both delighted and relieved when he was Searched aged 12. They were doubly relieved and pleased a Turn later when he Impress. Never mind that he Impressed green - from their point of view that Impression put him under the Weyr's care and ensured he'd never starve. It was a better future than *they* could offer him at that time. Information about W'care's dragon Dragon Name: Ladith Colour: Green Age: 49 Wing (Weyrling Group): Appearance: Ladith was already fairly old when the Pass began. Too old to adjusty quickly to this new danger, and she gained a few scars before she learnt just how to fly without getting hurt. They stand out on her body and wings, silvery scars on her light green hide. Even now, several Turns later, she complains they itch horribly and demands extra oiling on them - although that may just be her way of getting attention. Personality: Ladith is a motherly green. She'll take time to give a word of advice to Weyrling greens, or younger greens in her own Wing, and she'll comfort them should they be in distress for some reason.
