TalcanCharacter type: Weyrling Appearance: Talcan has a solemn face, with large brown eyes and hair that curls far too much for a growing boy's preference. He hates submitting to hair cuts and so it grows too long. If Sykorie didn't stop him, he would do it himself and who cares if it's even?! Personality: Talcan is a quiet, somewhat aloof boy at first. He likes to observe a situation before jumping straight in. But once he feels like he's got a handle on a situation, he is a great sport, usually up for anything. Although not perfect, he doesn't mind playing with those younger than him too much. After befriending Alebmor and Parion, he's become much more outgoing. History: Talcan was born to a greenrider, Talula, at Ista. He never met his father, and his mother died when he was four. He remembers her, and her friend Sykorie who was there for his whole life. When his mother died, Sykorie left. He missed both women immensely. After having adjusted to Arolos Weyr, Sykorie decided she wanted to become his guardian and bring him to Arolos. She didn't want to overshadow his mother, but wanted Talcan to have a parent in his life. Information about Talcan's dragon Dragon Name: Zatoth Colour: Brown Age: 0 Wing (Weyrling Group): Weyrling Wing (Under 16) Appearance: Even compared to the other browns in the clutch, Zatoth is small when he hatches. Some of the large blues will be bigger than him for the first several months of weyrlinghood. Eventually he’ll start growing by leaps and bounds and by the time he is fully grown, he’ll end up slightly above average in size compared to other browns from the Second Pass. He’ll be a slender dragon though, one built for speed and agility, rather than endurance. He’s a handsome dragon as well and will retain a youthful look throughout his life. Personality: Zatoth is a fierce little dragon, willing to take risks with little fear for his own life, especially if he thinks his lifemate needs him. In fact, Zatoth will decide that it his job to protect his rider from anything he considers dangerous, including insects and the occasional pet and it might take several long discussions with Zatoth before it finally sinks in that the he doesn’t need to protect his rider from every feline that passes by.
