Name Pronounced: Shall-yeah
Appearance: Shalia inherited her father's red hair (though several shades darker) and light green eyes, but lucked into her mother's skintone, a light klah color. Or possibly, growing up in the South simply gave her a permanent tan; either way, she almost never has to worry about a sunburn. She generally keeps her hair no longer than shoulder-length; any longer is simply too much work to deal with on a regular basis. Similarly, her preferred hairstyle is a simple ponytail. Her face, neck, and shoulders are liberally covered with freckles, which start to trail off going down her arms, stopping before reaching the elbows. Her chest and back are similarly dappled. Once the bane of her existance, she now accepts and even likes them... though she still wishes they weren't quite so prevalent.
Personality: Quieter and more contemplative than her father - she actually takes after "Daddy Lanick" in that way more than she does Sh'ain - she still manages to possess a mischevious streak a dragonlength wide. As a natural-born follower - she is her father's daughter, after all, and Lanick was an even worse example in this regard - she tends to stay in the background, letting others take the spotlight and, usually, the blame. Even when she steps in to take her share of the punishment, she often gets off lighter than her cohorts, simply because most people can't imagine her being the brains behind the operation, as it were. The truth is, however, she's often the one to come up with the idea that led to them getting into trouble, and then given it to somebody else to run with it. However, she's also just as often roped in by the words "C'mon, it'll be FUN!"
History: Born: 8.08.07.16
Information about Shalia's pets
Pet Name: Buttons
Pet Type: Canine
Appearance: The older half-brother of Sh'ain's Abatos, Buttons takes after his mother, rather than his father Maxel. A light brown coat gives way to even lighter fur on his muzzle, belly and paws, with darker fur on his ears and a "saddle" on his back. He's a large canine, with very soft fur. Buttons is about 8 Turns old.
Personality: Very much raised as a guard dog to protect Shalia when Sh'ain wasn't around to do so, Buttons is fiercely protective of her, and will defend his mistress in a fight. Friendly to those who don't try to harm Shalia, he still watches them with a guarded eye until he comes to trust them. Any strangers around his mistress, and he simply will NOT let his guard down. However, he still loves to play - as long as he knows everyone around!
Second Pet Name: Noctis
Pet Type: Blue Firelizard
Appearance: Noctis is a medium-sized, stormy blue flit. There is very little variation in the color of his hide except for a couple of bands around his paws and on his head, framing the headknobs like flying goggles. Even though he is average size, somehow he seems smaller when sitting next to others, so he tends to push his way forward in order to stand out, though when he does, he often squints or seems to have a nervous tic that makes him lid his slightly-smaller-than-normal eyes.
Personality: The best - or worst - things about this little guy are his intelligence and strong will. His mind is far quicker than other flits and he seems to realize that his actions have consequences, some of which he might actually figure out ahead of time. Sometimes random happenstance gets in the way though, and when it does, things may go badly. Don't laugh at this little guy though... he WILL get you back for it, though only when it is deserved. As much as any flit can, he has reasons for what he does and likes having things his own way. He also can be a bit of a snob at times, looking down on everyone else for not being him and going along with the flow.
