S'gurName Pronounced: Seh-Gur Appearance: S'gur is a fairly 'pretty' man who stands at a height of 5'11" with a slim build. He has coal black hair that hangs down past his ears down to the middle of his neck; and it is rather straight on both sides. Wispy coal black bangs hang down to the middle of his forehead with the edges curling inwards. S'gur's eyebrows are pencil thin and arching, the exact same color a his coal black hair. His eyes are wide and a very dark brown in shade, almost equal to the color of freshly poured klah. His dark eyes seem rather bland and it's hard to read emotion by looking at them. His nose is small and pert with a thin bridge and a sharply rounded end. S'gur has a small mouth with thin lips that are usually pursed into a thoughtful frown. To complement his looks he has high cheekbones and a narrow face structure which gives his face a bit of a 'girlie' look. S'gur has a short thin neck and shoulders that are narrow and angular with very little muscle to them, at least from appearance. His arms are of medium length and narrow with a silvery-white threadscore scar that stretches across the back of his left hand. S'gur's chest is semi-muscular but rather flat and his belly has only a slight bulge to it. His legs are long and lanky with a rather complicated threadscore scar that runs along the ankle of his left leg. His skin is a rather pasty color that can give others the impression he is sickly, and it is also rather vulnerable to sunburn. He tends to like to wear dark blue or black clothing on most occasions. Personality: S'gur has never had it easy, ridiculed as weak by his father and brother from when he was young he is determined to prove just the opposite. Striving to be accepted he works very hard and without complaint. Although he's reconciled with his brother he still feels like he has something to prove to others. He's always been the type to hold his emotions in to the point where he appears dispassionate or emotionless. Thanks to Zakuth that has begun to change and he is a little more open now, and when he is happy he has this tentative shy smile which can sometimes endear him to others. He has a talent for carving and does so as a hobby, usually carving detailed figures of runners, dragons, and firelizards. It's also a good outlet for him to express his emotions and it isn't uncommon to find him resting up against Zakuth whittling down a piece of wood to the shape he wants. He acts nice but only because he wants others to like him and deep down he's not sure whether it's all a lie or if he really is that way. Like his brother he tends to be very observant of what goes on around him and there isn't much that he misses. He has a fair amount of confidence now thanks to Zakuth, though he's a little bit too dependent on the blue. He no longer suffers from his childhood illness but he has a fear it may someday come back and so he is very careful to look after his health. He eats lots of vegetables and fruits with only a side of meat or breadrolls because it's healthier. S'gur is pretty intelligent and can figure out complex problems and can come up with strategies during threadfall, which is why he and Zakuth haven't been scored that often. History: Shagure was born in Crom Hold, the second eldest of three siblings. His mother Hanaia was a Journeyman Weavercrafter and his father Rujon was a Journeyman Minercrafter. His brother Kuyo older than him by two turns and his sister Kyai was younger than him by two turns. His father was an extremely strict man who had high expectations of him and Kuyo. Shagure was a sickly child who mainly had problems with his lungs. He was often short of breath and would go into coughing fits during the winter or on a cold day. It was rather like having a cold only all the time and the only symptom was coughing and shortness of breath...other than the occasional fever. Information about S'gur's dragon Dragon Name: Zakuth Colour: Blue Age: 2 Wing (Weyrling Group): Unforgettables (Adoptables Wing) Appearance: Zakuth is a medium sized blue that is 27 feet in length from muzzle to tail. His muzzle is long and narrow and is rather like that of a terran crocodile but somewhat shorter. Soft hues of colonial blue sweep over his muzzle and continue on to encompass his narrow wedge-shaped head. A small pattern of silvery-white scars can be seen trailing along his right cheek, shallow but visible when the light catches them. His eyeridges are smooth and narrow and seem to have an angular quality to them. They are mostly a light colonial blue in color with a light sprinkling of faded sky blue speckles overtop. Zakuth's eyes are rather narrow and almond-shaped which helps to give them a sinister appearance. Near the back of his head are two narrow head knobs that are a light sky blue in color. His neck is long and slender with a light sheen of colonial blue that flows down to end just before the base of his shoulders. Vertical stripes of sky blue streak down the sides of his neck in bands about two inches apart, which end in a tapered triangular point near the middle of his neck. His neckridges are large and prominent, quite visible from a distance due to their bright vivid cobalt blue coloration. Personality: Zakuth's attitude is very different than that of his rider, for he is outgoing, boisterous, loud, opinionated, and extroverted. He has an open friendly attitude that has allowed him to make friends with several other dragons. He is often encouraging his rider to open up and get to know others more instead of withdrawing and being aloof. He is an easy going dragon who enjoys interacting with others and spending as much time as he can with those who cares about. Despite his outgoing nature he is a good listener with a keen sense of right and wrong. He makes sure to keep the most private of secrets if anyone confides in him and works hard not to let anyone down. He cares deeply about others and will often put the needs of others above his own. Weyr of Origin: High Reaches Abilites and weaknesses: Zakuth is fast in the air and has a great deal of agility. His stamina isn't bad for a blue and he can last almost an entire fall but is usually told to go down before he starts getting tired. He has a rather long flame which comes in useful when fighting thread. His outgoing manner and gentle demeanor can make him popular but he is also stubborn, over protective of his rider, clingy, and sometimes childish if he doesn't get his way.
