Ry'retName Pronounced: Ruh - eye - ret Appearance: A broad-shouldered man, Ry'ret doesn't look like he's in his thirties. You'd take him for no more than 25 at the oldest as his square jaw and candid gaze give him a more youthful appearance. Dark brown straight hair falls across his face and light brown eyes regard you intently from beneath very straight brows. He has the muscled appearance you'd expect from a rider but without it being too overt. He tends to wear a sprinkling of a beard along his jawline which gives him a more charismatic air, one that he likes to cultivate. Personality: Ry'ret tells it how it is. He's a very straightforward man who, although he doesn't really like giving offence, is quite happy to let you know if you're boring him or he'd rather be doing something else. Having said that, he's completely undistractable when it comes to duty, which is a good thing. Bryyth and he share a similar passion for working hard and playing hard - loyalty to the wingleader and, ultimately, the Weyrleader, is unswerving. But catch them outside of Fall or sweeps, or drills, and you'll find Ry a pleasant fun-loving man who's happy to relax and be informal. Not for him the constant haughtiness of some bronze riders, yet he still knows his place in the grand scheme of things. If he asks for something it's hard to refuse because of the charm that goes with the request, but deny him and he sulks. Big time. He's a bronze rider, what right do you have to refuse? And you might wonder what can possibly restore him to the likeable man you saw not a moment before. History: FAMILY: Too large to count Information about Ry'ret's pets Pet Name: Elek Pet Type: Blue Wher Appearance: This boy will be hatched on the small side but not for long, he will grow to be a good medium sized blue. His bright harper blue hide will almost be able to hide the dust that seems to be attracted to him. Dust aside; this lad will be an oddly attractive fellow. Maybe it will be because of the fact that his neck, tail and wings are a bit longer then normal for his species. No he will not be able to fly, but he will give the appearance of a very young and homely dragon. Personality: This lad will be loyalty personified, truly single minded in it. Elek's chosen pack and their possessions will be protected and cherished at all costs. This includes items which the alpha male no longer wishes around and has tossed in the trash. These will be retrieved and hoarded away into his corner/bed. Information about Ry'ret's dragon Dragon Name: Bryyth Colour: Bronze Age: 16 turns Wing (Weyrling Group): Unforgettables (Adoptables Wing) Appearance: Bryyth is generally a light bronze in colour with some darker speckles over his hide. This effect is very much as if he flew head first into a large cloud of blackdust and some of it stuck, with the majority of the colouring on his head and neck, fading away to almost a negligent amount by the time it reaches his tail. He's not long for a bronze but he's hefty, as if the normal musculature has been squashed into a shorter dragon than was intended. His wings are slightly broader than normal which is a good thing otherwise he would run the risk of being unbalanced in the air. This he isn't, but it does mean that he's not particularly graceful. Still, strength and stamina are more important, right? Personality: Bryyth has ambitions. Some kind of rank for him and his would be very nice, but on the whole he's easy-going although not always talkative. He leaves the "chatting up" to his rider, preferring to let his good looks earn him a pretty green to snuggle with. He feels it's his due as a bronze, after all. He's loyal to Ry'ret as every dragon is to theirs, but not all choose to give their rider advice on situations. Having a good memory Bryyth is fortunate that his has never had his heart broken by a female for there would likely be a grudge held and he would frequently remind Ry'ret of the woman's bad points, deliberately trivialising any good points she might have had. Not vengeful in general, he would be swift in a verbal attack on anyone who would belittle his rider, so it's probably best to be respectful within his hearing. Logical and practical, he's reliable and trustworthy and tries to imbue younger dragons with with a calmness and inner confidence in their abilities. Weyr of Origin: Ista Abilites and weaknesses: As is normal for a bronze he's very strong and has plenty of staying power during a Fall, but his manoeuvrability is very poor and his landings aren't the most delicate you've ever seen. His flame is generally good, being better at long thin bursts rather than widespread control. He does tend to need reminding that he doesn't have a green's agility because his enthusiasm for his duty occasionally gets the better of his normal pragmatic approach.
