Character type: Crafter
Appearance: At least part of Nerks' problem is his size. He's one of those boys who've suddenly had a growth spurt and shot up in size, but hasn't yet adjusted to that yet. He gangles, all skinny arms and legs and too many joints that seem to get all tangled up in each other.
Personality: More than anything in his life, Nerks wants desperately to be a Healer and help people.
History: Nerks grew up in the Weyr Creche - first Ista's, and then Arolos' when his mother moved and decided she should take him with her. The product of a mating flight, he knew his mother only vaguely, like a kind of favourite aunt who brought nice presents whenever she visited. He never resented this, though he did bawl his eyes out at having to leave the Istan Creche-mother when he was nine. He cried more then in fact, then he did when his mother died in Fall a Turn after they moved. He cried because he *should* of course, but what point was there in sorrowing too much over someone he barely knew? The Creche-mother is the one he regards as his *real* parent, and as such, adores.
