Name Pronounced: nuh-VAN-ree
Appearance: N'vanri has the look that any respectable holder’s son ought to. More or less. Tall? Dark? Handsome? Check. He’s a solid 6 feet tall, with a strong and well-muscled frame. He might be a spoiled rich boy, but he hasn’t let that get to his body. Where a lot of holder kids get away with getting lazy and soft, N'vanri enjoys working. And when there isn’t work to be done he’s often hanging around the guards letting them beat on him a little. He respects his body and isn’t afraid to show it off. He has a pretty face, though not too pretty and he keeps some neat facial hair just to make sure he doesn’t ever look too much ‘that way’. His eye are a deep hazel, and framed thickly with dark lashes. All in all a nice package.
Personality: N'vanri is a prime example of how the wrong sort of upbringing can affect a person. On one hand he was spoiled and cosseted by his mother, and many of the other women in the hold, while on the other his father was extremely hard on him. He has a developed sense of entitlement, while his strength allows him to take whatever he wants regardless. He believes the world revolves around him and you’d better not be the person that gets in the way of what he wants.
History: Rorien was born in High River hold, a small but prosperous place in fort territory, his father, Orthal was the holder of the place and his mother, Karmiel, the wealthy daughter of a holder from the High Reaches area. Karmiel was a ridiculously spoiled child and wife and didn’t hesitate to shower Rorien with more affection and possessions than any boy ever needed. Rorieni loved his mother but grew to quickly hate his father. The man was never pleased, never even seeming to like his boys (though the one daughter of the family was treated very well. Rorien and his brother also hate her). Rorien’s purpose in life started to revolve around finding ways to piss off his father.
Information about N'vanri's dragon
Dragon Name: Anatoth
Colour: Blue Dragon
Wing (Weyrling Group): MelodyMakers
Appearance: The blue dragon that emerges from the Square Upon Square Egg seems to have a hide that matches his shell rather well. Anatoth is a larger dragon for his colour, though nowhere near the biggest, with a hide of the darkest shade of blue. His entire hide is the one colour, expect for a few places along his back and stomach, where there are squares of a much lighter shade of blue instead. The contrast between the light and dark blue of his hide is extremely noticeable and makes Anatoth stand out, even if he isn’t particularly handsome.
Personality: While he might not be handsome, Anatoth is smart. He’ll be able to pick up patterns of threadfall with relatively little difficulty and will have an equally easy time learning the various Wing formations. And he will come with a burning desire to be the best at fighting thread, which will make him highly competitive both in the Wings and in Weyrling training. Once graduated and in the fighting Wings, he will be a huge benefit to his Wing and in time, Anatoth’s rider might even find them being offered a promotion to Wingthird or even Wingsecond. If that does happen and they take the position, it will be because of urging of Anatoth’s rider, not because Anatoth wants it. He wants to be the best thread fighter, but he doesn’t want any rank or be involved with anything that might possibly involve politics.
