Character type: Dragonrider
Appearance: Merren is a gangly turnager that is slowly but surely gaining her womanhood. She’s tall, around 5’8”, but her height wouldn’t be so striking if she wasn’t so slender, with hardly any curves to speak of yet. She’s a bit clumsy, bumping into things or fumbling objects, but just like her physical maturity, she is gaining some grace.
Personality: The last thing Merren is is shy. She has the habit, good or bad, of saying exactly what’s running through her mind. She’s not a chatterbox, but she doesn’t necessarily have a filter. Some people might appreciate the honesty while others see her as rude. Thankfully, along with blunt honesty, she isn’t very self conscious so she’s usually able to shrug off others’ comments. If Merren ever seems even just somewhat disturbed, it’s a sign she is seriously affected.
History: Merren was born the youngest of three. Her parents, both blueriders, were practically weyrmates though they had their on and off turns, and various other partners. But all in all, Merren had a fairly solid family life at Igen Weyr. Whenever their parents were at odds with each other, the children were fairly unaffected. Although she’d heard stories about her parents’ eccentricities, their pranks on each other, and their ‘fights’ that stemmed from the most bizarre things, Merren remembers only some of her mother who died when she was eight turns during threadfall. Merren wouldn’t say the event has shaped her, but her brothers and father remember well how utterly lost the young girl had been, how she’d followed her father around, even trying to follow him into wing meetings, afraid he would leave too.
Information about Merren's dragon
Dragon Name: Phyleth
Wing (Weyrling Group): Skystrikers
Personality: "My name is Phyleth, I'm a green dragon." Words which this olive green dragonet's rider will become very familiar with, as Phyleth will always use them to introduce herself. And they really do suit her well as this dragon is a scrupulously honest and open beast- she will always call things exactly as she sees them and is not prone to flights of fancy.
