MendlName Pronounced: mend-uhl Appearance: While Mendl is younger than her sister, Kalla, she is taller - about 5'7" (and will have one more growth spurt so her final height would be 5'9"). She is also whip-thin - about 125lbs, but most of that is muscle so she looks like she weighs less. Her eyes are grey-blue, and her hair is a dark chestnut brown. She has a long face, which makes her look even taller. It also makes her eyes look huge, giving her a waif-like look. Personality: Mendl is so sweet and nice that one thinks she's the most naive person on the planet. Don't let that fool you - she's sharper than she looks, but people underestimate her, even when she tries to set them straight. She has finally given up on changing people's impressions of her. If it makes them happy, so be it. Just don't be surprised when she doesn't act as expected. History: Mendl grew up with her older sister, Kalla, and younger sister, Kylie, at Forest Edge Hold. Kalla went into the Healercraft, but Mendl had a soft spot for animals so went into the Beastcraft. She really wanted to go into dragonhealing, but knew that in order to do that she needed to go to the Weyr. Instead, her parents sent her to apprentice with a Beastcrafter for animal healer training when she Turned 12. Information about Mendl's pets Pet Name: Eysis Pet Type: Green Firelizard Appearance: Eysis is the green of a terran luna moth, and has almost the same markings. Mendl acquired her when she was thirteen Turns and named her Eysis because, as she said, "her eyes is on the back of her wings." Since the flit didn't seem to care about the name, it stuck. Personality: One would think Eysis was a gold instead of a green, the way she bosses other flits around. But she dotes on her pet, and is even helpful in her trade: when Mendl needs something - gauze, needles, suture thread - she will go get it for her pet. Information about Mendl's dragon Dragon Name: Nimoth Colour: Gold Age: 0 Wing (Weyrling Group): Night Glory Appearance: Where Foreth may be huge, Nimoth displays a seductive and sinewy grace from the start, falling from her shell as if she were perfectly crafted with a specific design in mind. She is, in a word - perfection. If only she weren’t so insolently stubborn. Even from a hatchling she has an uncanny ease to her movements, whether she’s on the ground or in the air. It just… feels so easy and will be an absolute pleasure to watch. Although she will be a more average sized gold (if you could even use “average” to describe her) compared to her Dam, Nimoth will display elegant and balanced proportions that blends smoothly from her finely tapered neck, her carefully mantled wings and graceful tail that moves in tandem with her moods. Her head has a dainty femininity with large eyes that peer at you with wicked intelligence. Even her posture seems to occur with easy grace, tucking limbs neatly together as precisely as though carved from the finest and most expensive of stones. Personality: “I bow to no man” will be a phrase Nimoth’s Rider had better get used to. Nimoth doesn’t dislike males, far from it in fact. She will have days of being an incorrigible seductress, especially as she starts to get a little older. She certainly knows how to put things in ways to ensure that the other person (or dragon) just can’t… quite make themselves say no to her. But she absolutely refuses to be subordinate to a male, especially if that male appears to be treated more preferentially than her. This may cause some degree of conflict when she is perhaps meant to be deferring to her elders and betters as a Weyrling or if she feels that a suitor of her Rider is getting a bit too big for his boots. Her Rider will need to take particular care that Nimoth doesn’t start abusing her status and ability that being Gold has given her. It won’t make things any easier when she realises that she is extremely smart, even for a gold - something that will make it much easier for her to manipulate people (and dragons) into doing precisely what she wants and when she wants it. But it’s just done so sweetly, how could anyone possibly say no to her? More importantly, why would they want to?!
