MelalodCharacter type: Harper Appearance: Unlike most harpers, Melalod is a thick man. Not fat, no; all his bulk is muscle left over from his days as an apprentice in the SmithCraft. He's tall, standing at about 6'3, and looks more like a Guard than a harper, now. His shaggy black hair is forever in his face, hiding his dark brown eyes. He has a lantern jaw, a bold nose, and a surprisingly full mouth. Personality: If you were to describe this harper in one word it would be gruff. His voice sounds like he's been bellowing orders over the crashing waves on a ship all his life. When he sings, the gruffness in his voice melts into a nice baritone, but he's not a singer. History: Melalod was born into, believe it or not, a SeaCrafting family. Instead of follow his parents and siblings into that craft, he chose to stay on land and apprentice to a Smith when he was old enough. A Turn of smithing turned him away from that craft, as he decided it wasn't for him. He had built up considerable muscle, though, and added to it when his brother persuaded him to do a Turn as a SeaCrafter.
