LuczahName Pronounced: Luke-zah Appearance: Luczah isn't the prettiest of the Candidates, and she knows it. At 5'11 she grew too tall to be dainty, and is too wide-shouldered to mince. She's grown accustomed to thinking of herself as ugly, and tries to stand behind people when in a group. Personality: If Luczah ever had any self-confidence it was squashed out of her long before she came to the Weyr. Things she can do well? Well, cooking and sewing, but they don't really count do they? They're just *girl's* things, and clearly everyone can do them. And she's been at the Weyr nearly a turn now and isn't pregnant, so clearly she can't even get that right. History: Luczah's mother died in childbirth out in a tiny cothold near Fort. Her father had no clue how to raise a child alone, so she was fostered out to a well-meaning aunt who had never had children of her own. It was unfortunate for Luczah that Aunt Larani was extremely pretty, and had to expend very little effort to stay that way. It led to a childhood of "Smile, dear. Oh dear, but don't show your teeth!"; "I just wish you could stop *growing*" and "Well, perhaps if you ate a little less you wouldn't look like that!". Information about Luczah's dragon Dragon Name: Joaneth Colour: Blue Age: 0 Wing (Weyrling Group): None Appearance: From the moment Joaneth cracks methodically from his shell, he will be a blue that forever commands a double take from most people that stop to look at him. At first glance, he is decidedly and obviously masculine with strong, broad shoulders and a confident, sturdy stance that he will adopt easily throughout his life. But look again, a little bit closer and under that masculinity are slightly feminine touches too. Like long, lithe legs that, whilst powerful, are still slim and shapely. Or the gentle way in which his snout curves into an elegant point underneath his intensely whirling eyes. Crowned with long, curling headknobs and a fabulously long tail, Joaneth seems to be a strange but potent combination of masculine and feminine all rolled into one self-assured bundle. Personality: Blues are known for their steadfast nature and Joaneth is no different. Except, Joaneth takes it a little more seriously than most other dragons. He is determined to be the absolute best he can be, no matter how much work it takes. If it takes extra effort, then it’s clearly worth the time! It won’t be any use trying to convince Joaneth to play a prank or skip a class, rules are the top and bottom of this dragon’s life. Draw a line in the sand, and Joaneth will make sure he doesn’t cross it. Ever. Extremely proud of his fastidious nature, Joaneth might seem overly cautious to some, assessing the risks before he takes action, knowing the ins and outs of every event before getting his feet wet. Foolish you say? Sensible! Says Joaneth! You should take pride in a clean weyr, not wallow in a messy one.
