Character type: Harper
Appearance: He is a mahogany redhead that's long enough for him to braid, and he usually keeps it in a braid. His face has V'd cheeks in a smooth rise with no bone features yet it is clear against the backdrop of his mostly squared jaw. It gives his face a handsome firmness just beyond that of a youth even with the narrow rounded chin. His features have more of an impish style if he wasn't quite as serious yet sad looking....but the serious look is just plain cute on him. Especially those large lapis lazuli eyes peering out from either side of his straight medium-sized nose going to the rounded point of the tip. His lips are kind of secretive at their hints of a faint lush fullness to capture some interest, along with that fascinating scar on the left part of his lower lip and running a fraction of an inch toward his chin. The scar isn't very noticeable but it adds some character. Still when he tries he can be very expressive and give some 100 watt smiles that could easily catch people's attention. He is a 5'10" tall guy with a serious presence when he is in a room despite his lack of bulk. He is strong but his strength doesn't make much of a presence beyond the firm curves of muscle making him closer to the upper borderline of ectomorphic. He is covered in fair skin with can get a nice lightly bronzed tan should he stay outdoors for long enough. His voice is a rich but rough baritone that sounds more seductive but with a tough wildness. He likes color, and generally steers clear of clothes that are strictly, black, white or gray. He wears a simple, stiff, silver band around his left wrist. On his right forearm he has a black, knotted pattern band tattoo that starts just above his wrist and stops just below his elbow and wraps completely around. His most recent body modification consists on a silver ring through his right nipple, done a drunken dare.
Personality: Lhyr is the quiet, reserved type. He likes to watch, to observe what's going on around him. Waiting of his next inspiration to come along. He loves drawing, sketching, painting, it's his way of expressing himself. Art is his life now, the one thing he found he's good at. He's a little introverted, and a little on the shy side when he's around total strangers. With friends he's a little more out going. He has very strong values and morals, knows the difference between right and wrong and will go by the book with most things.
History: Lhyrist is the son of Welkista, a rider at Arolos, and on traveling Trader named Verint. Most of his family ended up being taken along with his father and Lhyrist was no exception. This family wasn't the most straightforward of groups. Much of which Lhyr was kept out of since he tended to be a bit too honest and straightforward. They were involved numerous underhanded schemes which Lhyrist was unaware of, he only got to witness the after effects of the crooked dealings...on of which led his eldest sibling, Ylnyst to Warderhood to a minor hold named Tovrar. The altercations and speedy departures from places made Lhyrist more than a little nervous. It was enough for him to return to his mother leaving siblings Ailkyta, Orytis and Keienis behind with Verint and uncle Jonas. Which was quickly an item which he regreted for Welkista's Sisnith was nearly on his case trying to convince him to be a Candidate. Ailkyta and Orytis followed Lhyrist back to Arolos to keep an eye on him to make sure that he didn't know too much about the black dealings the rest of the family was tied up in. Orytis wasn't as bad as some but he was also an idealist and tried for becoming a Candidate...something he succeed at. Ailkyta was goaded by his success at such to try to become a Candidate herself....however chilly, selfish and greedy people aren't Candidate material. Nervous that she may have given herself away she left Arolos. This left Lhyrist, Welkista and Orytis to life at the Weyr, though Orytis was still there mostly to keep at eye on Lhyr. It wasn't until after the most recent hatching that Lhyrist really decided to make his presence known by becoming a Candidate and escaping Sisnith's poking questions of whether he would ever listen to her....through Welkista at least. That he's been around as a Candidate for longer than a Turn has had him moving out from the Barracks.
