Name Pronounced: KUH-rehf
Appearance: How old is K'ref, anyway? It seems he's almost one-hundred -- he's overtaxed and -stressed his tanned face into such a shriveled little bean that it's hard to think of him as anything but a seriously ancient man. His hair -- once a lovely, almost platinum, blonde -- has gone completely grey, finalizing this picture of a veteran dragonrider.
Personality: K'ref is The Dragonrider's Dragonrider. He's almost a caricature, in fact. He few friends, because he's drilling constantly, focusing on whatever studies he needs for his assignment at the time, and figuring out how to become a better wingrider. The man's done this for 50 turns now, and he's good at being an underling -- which means that if he was ever promoted, he would have no idea what to do with anyone. He cannot manage anything but himself, and has no desire to do so; he's never had a close relationship, though even at his age, he still feels the carnal attraction of another human being from time to time.
History: Kerref was the son of dragonriders at High Reaches and if you call him out on his history, he'll TELL you, by the first golden egg, every single heroic thing his parents had done. "My father searched four bronzeriders in his time! My mother's green was the biggest in all the northern continent, they say!" He's a proud man, and prouder still of his background.
Information about K'ref's dragon
Dragon Name: Acinonth
Wing (Weyrling Group): None
Appearance: Oddly-proportioned but beautiful: the two words that describe Acinonth best. He is small for a blue, long in body, barrel-chested, and surprisingly quick -- the 'workhorse' stereotype shows only in his tree-trunk of a neck, as his limbs are all spidery and thin. A bit like a green, he has sacrificed strength for intense speed, although he is still a bit clumsy in the air.
Personality: Acinonth is K'ref, boiled down to the strongest and most fierce of his traits. Where K'ref is focused, Acinonth is single-minded on whatever the task is at hand, especially when it comes to hunting. K'ref generally only talks when he feels he has been slighted, or to tell someone off; Acinonth speaks to relay information, and when he does, it comes out in that thin, almost hissing mind-voice of his. Between the two of them, Acinonth keeps K'ref fit and active and helps him to concentrate, while K'ref is his 'memory bank' -- like most dragons, Acinonth typically cannot remember what he ate last, even.
Weyr of Origin: High Reaches
Abilites and weaknesses: An atypical blue, Acinonth is very quick but lacks endurance; he's also relatively weak and clumsy. He is dutiful and focused, however, and young creatures tend to take a shining to him.
