HolmanCharacter type: Other Appearance: Holman - or Holm as he's more often called - is a real bull of a man. He's not all that tall, only around 5'10", but he's stocky and thickset. His muscles are big and his chest is hairy. Basicaly a steryotypical 'manly' male. His dark brown hair is kept fairly short and he tends to dress in simply blue work clothes with a red neckercheif that somehow seems to highlight his startlingly green eyes. He's got several scars in various places around his body but no one seems sure how he got them and he's not letting on. Personality: For all that he looks like a typical 'macho' male Holm really isn't. He's *never* once dreamed of having a dragon - after all, why would he want something as big as that!? - and he doesn't like to show off infrontt of women. No, he's not a macho man in the strictest sense, he doesn't like to primp and flex and he doesn't spend all day working out or trying to catch ladies eyes. Of course that doesn't mean he isn't what people often refer to as a 'man.s man'. He can throw a nasty punch when he wants to, and he generaly prefers the company of other men - and regards women as things that should live in the kitchen or bedroom. He's got agression by the bucket load - though he keeps a very tight rein on it and no one has ever seen him in a temper. Possibly the only things he has in greater quantities than agression are intelligence and ambition - in that order! He's not a typical stupid farm boy, Holm is shrewd and knows exactly how far he can push things should he need to. And as to ambition... Holm wants to be on the up! What he really, *really* wants is to be in charge of people. He wants his own Hold - a major one - and as far as he's concerned all will run smoothly as long as people do as he tells them. At least that's the thoery, for now he's biding his time and laying the foundations for his 'empire' - and if that involves joining the RedStars and taking orders then so be it! History: Holman was raised on a cot hold in Telgar terriory. He's spent the greater part of his life working there, tanding to his father's farm and networking among the other Holders in the area. Of course when the flooding killed his mother and washed away the family hold he, his father Holm Sr. and his two younger brothers found themselves holdless. And his ambitions were practicaly ruined for how could he ever take Hold anywhere with nothing to start with? Then the family discovered hope. Holm Sr.'s brother had died during the famines down in Arolos... leaving his wife and three kids alone. Holm Sr. was motivated by family love (and the fact that he fancied his brother's wife) and they made their way down. Holm Sr. is now firmly ensconsed in his 'sister's' cothold and his brother's only son Homah has been packed off to the Weyr as a Candidate. Holman himself is back to networking. Leaving his father and two younger brothers to get the cothold up and running again Holman has gone to the nearest large grain hold... and it's there that he met the RedStars. Sensing oppertunities opening for him Holman joined them without ever looking back. He's been running with the 'covert Ops' branch for a while now, biding his time and making those all important connections...
