HiruciaName Pronounced: Hi-roo-shia Appearance: Hirucia has pale skin that has rarely seen the sun until she moved to Arolos. Just in the short time she's been here, her nose has almost permanently become red or pink. She has started to wear a large hat whenever she's outside and this is helping. Personality: Hirucia is emotional, impulsive, and stubborn. She will make decisions without thinking about them, and this has led her into some trouble. She often refuses to look at the logic of a situation, and instead goes with her gut. But she's also very sympathetic. She's a great person to pour your heart out to, because she doesn't readily judge others. History: Hirucia comes from a small cothold near Telgar. Her childhood was simple and happy, surrounded by friends, siblings, and parents that all loved her. She did well enough in her lessons, and preferred to help her father with his craft than learn housekeeping from her mother. Her parents were both somewhat reticent to allow their eldest girl to fully pursue the Beastcraft, as the small cothold was quite hidebound, but could see Hirucia really wanted to continue in the craft. So at the age of 12, Hirucia's father officially took her on as his Apprentice. She did well enough at first, working hard to learn everything her father taught her. However it became apparent that although she got along well with the animals, she had no aptitude for learning anything but the basics of the craft. Oh sure, she could understand how animals mated, but she just could not get her head around the intricacies of breeding or even why keeping breeding records was so important. Although breeding was her father's specialty, he knew enough about the healing aspect of beastcraft that he taught her as much as he could. This she took to like a fish to water.
