G'reuntCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: He has large, dark brown eyes and shaggy light brown hair. He stands at 5'9" with a light complexion, and weighs about 170 lbs. He has a wiry build. and his voice is still undergoing the changes of puberty. He's shy in nature, doesn't talk much, and has almost overcome his slight stutter in his everyday speech; though this speech impediment disappears when he sings (he's a baritone, by the way). He has no jewelry or weapons to speak of, and his personal possessions are few. He also tends towards absent-mindedness, and has no fashion sense whatsoever; he throws on any clean clothes he finds in the morning, whether or not they match each other. Rumply is a good way to describe the way he dresses. Personality: G'reunt is a shy but independent young man. He doesn't put enough faith in himself, and has a fragile self-image and self-esteem, which are further hindered by his frustrating stutter. He gets along with nonhumans better than people because he believes that humans are more cruel and judgmental; his refuge in the beast world makes him a further oddity. Obviously, he keeps to himself most of the time and avoids confrontations whenever possible. He does get into trouble every once an a while. When he does he does not try to hide what he did. History: Jasck and Ravele are G'reunt's foster parents. He has no memory of his natural parents, nor does he care to know. He grew up in Ista Hold, and was taken in by Macedera's family when they came to Ista. He was asked to help out at the kennels and stables from time to time, which he didn't mind at all, but felt that beastcraft wasn't for him. He gets along well with his foster sister, though his relationship with Macedera remains somewhat distant due to their differences in personal outlooks and attitudes. At 15 turns, Goreunt and his foster sister were searched for the Ista Weyr clutch, where he impressed brown Crayith. He passed weyrling training with few mishaps, and found that he had a knack for healing, especially where his affinity with Dragonkin was concerned. Now, he and Macedera have now been among a wave of dragonriders dispersed to various other Weyrs due to overcrowding at Ista.
