Name Pronounced: Duh-jen
Appearance: Digen looks like the kind of kid that grown-ups want to cuddle and give cookies to and kids want to beat up and steal his lunch money. He hasn't yet hit puberty, and now stands just under 5' tall. He's somewhat scrawny, with a slightly pinched face. His hair and eyes are both an unremarkable brown, and he has a tendency to squint a little when looking at things far away. His hair is a little over-long, and while he does care about things like cleanliness, he tends to not really care that much about the kind of clothes he wears. He'll wear his favorite shirt until it gets ragged and threadbare because it's comfortable, and he will resist any attempts to make him change.
Personality: As the youngest in a large family, Digen was somewhat cosseted by the rest of his siblings. This could have turned him into a spoiled brat, but oddly it didn't. Instead it's made him somewhat sensitive and clingy, although he's loathe to show that side of himself to anyone except maybe his mom and his sister, because he also feels a strong need to prove himself. He's a little too serious, and extremely na´ve. Tell him you're going to take him on a snipe hunt and he will cheerfully go in search of something wonderful, but he'll be angry and resentful when he finds out you've mostly been messing with him. He has a deep love of learning, and enjoys puzzles. He's got a good heart and a compassionate nature, and found that he thrived under the Healers, mostly because he had good mentors. He's something of a teacher's pet, and tends to look to older people for guidance whenever possible.
History: The youngest of four children, Digen was born in a small cothold near Arolos Hold. He was something of an accident for his parents. After Desille was born, his mother had pretty much decided she didn't have the energy to take on the raising of yet another child. And yet, Digen came anyway, and his mother found that she did have energy for him after all. Which was good, because as a baby he was somewhat fussy and sickly, so he tended to be coddled more as a result.
Information about D'gen's pets
Pet Name: Doc
Pet Type: Blue Firelizard
Appearance: Doc is a rather pale blue, but otherwise is fairly unremarkable. Not large, not small, not particularly handsome nor homely, he is by all appearances quite average.
Personality: For a blue, he is surprisingly intelligent. He's even-tempered and patient, and incredibly empathetic. He has a habit of staring at people with an unnerving amount of intensity. He's also the type that will knock over the salt or the sweetener onto a plate, creating all-new taste sensations, whether anyone wants them or not.
Second Pet Name: Lizzie
Pet Type: Green Firelizard
Information about D'gen's dragon
Dragon Name: Carloth
Wing (Weyrling Group): Tiny Travellers
Personality: Carloth is a scientifically minded bronze, a dragon who would have done very well indeed had he remained in the past at Sef Weyr. Not that he won't be a success at Arolos mind you, a good smart bronze is always an asset- even if he does get a tad weird at times.
