At'yanCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: At'yan has brown hair. Very brown hair. ABout as brown as you can get. There may be none with browner hair. Get my point? His eyes are a pale, icy blue, like Dyandath's hide. His skin is naturally dark, and tans darker quite easily. He has a deep threadscore on the side of his nose (left), reminescent of his younger, foolish days just out of Weyrlinghood. He is fairly tall, decently muscled, and such. Personality: At'yan was very foolish up 'til about twenty. It always turned into trouble; he was kicked out of several wings for various problems related to his foolishness. Now, with a new Weyr and a new reputation to carve, he has straighened out, and is a very hard worker. He and Dyandath do their best to not let anyone down, not fail at anything. It has become something like their reason for living. They have no time for relationships. History: Raised, Impressed, and trained at Benden, At'yan has been the foolish child his entire life. His parents, Holderfolk, fostered him from their small SeaHold to keep him from drowning himself by accident, or another, at five, to Benden, and to a young greenrider. He teasingly worshipped her like a goddess, and they were extreamly close, lovers in all but reality, until she died in a large clump of Thread which somehow got past the riders above, and buried itself in the back of her head, so that when they went between, the shock of the cold (well, all that was beneath her skin wasn't under it by then) caused her heart to stop, and neither returned. At'yan was twenty, a young blue rider, forced to stay at the Weyr due to the Threadscore on his nose, a loose Thread past his guard. His and Dyandath's mourning affected the Weyr so deeply, what with Dyandath's midnight wails of his rider's loss and their sudden disappearances during Thread fighting, that he was ordered to transfer to another Weyr, to try to work out his problems away from all of the memories. Before they left, At'yan and Dyandath nearly went between, but a group of greens, lead by one who had her heart set on him every since they hatched at the same moment, pulled them back by sheer will and love. They willingly left after that, and try so hard to not fail anyone, in hopes that they can somehow repay those greens which saved them. Information about At'yan's dragon Dragon Name: Dyandath Colour: Blue Age: 12 Wing (Weyrling Group): Unforgettables (Adoptables Wing) Appearance: Dyandath is a pale, icy blue, and would be difficult to see against ice if there was any at Arolos. He is large for a blue, almost as large as an average-sized brown, with room to spare. Some have muttered that he could catch pretty much any green he wanted. If he wanted. Which he doesn't. His very long neck is more often stretched consolingly about his rider then twined with a green. Personality: He often appears very sad, head low, just sitting with his rider. He tries only half-heartedly to catch rising greens, his mind still on those that saved them. It will take a lot of loving to bring them back to full strength. His mind seems to clear a bit when fighting thread; he lashes out at it with all his rider's rage at that which killed his foster mother and best friend. Weyr of Origin: Benden Abilites and weaknesses: Abilities: his rider's rage at Thread spurs him to attack it with a ferocity not seen in many dragons, even those with personal grudges of injuries to them or their riders. The queenrider was closer to At'yan that even Dyandath, and it shows.
