Wy'linCharacter type: Weyrling Appearance: Wy'lin is a tall lanky man, but the lankiness suits him and adds to his charm. He's usually slightly tousled in appearance, with thick wavy black hair that looks windswept but still manages to be stylish, untucked shirts and he's often a bit late for a shave, not that he ever grows a lot of facial hair. He'll need reminders to sharpen himself up, but will generally fall back into dishevelment fairly quickly. Personality: Wy'lin tends to cheerfully, enthusiastically optimistic, the type whose glass is almost always half full which some people will like, but others might find a bit grating. But it doesn't bother him, not much does. If someone doesn't like him, or warm up to his cheerful banter after several patient attempts, well there are other people who will and he'll be sure to find them! History: Wy'lin, originally Wydalin was born at a hold near Benden Weyr, but his family moved to Arolos Hold when he was five. People in his family tended to lean towards interest in weaving, a career that captured the interest of his older sister and music, which snagged both him and his younger brother. Information about Wy'lin's dragon Dragon Name: Darbeth Colour: Blue Age: 0 Wing (Weyrling Group): None Appearance: Darbeth is a pleasant light blue, with darker patches scattered across his flanks. He's rapier-thin, though not dangerously so, and possesses long, slender limbs and talons which serve to enhance the impression. In formation, he'll fight Thread with quick, precise movements, rarely expending more flame and energy than is needed on any given clump. This will allow him to last longer during Fall than would be expected - not because of any particular stamina on his part, but simply due to the efficient husbandry of what he does possess. Personality: Straight from the shell, Darbeth will be interested in music, of all kinds. While the rest of his clutchmates are sleeping off the post-Hatching feeding frenzy, Darbeth may well be struggling to stay awake, hearing the strains of the Harpers at the far-away Feast. He will certainly be attempting to sing along any chance he gets! Fortunately, he has a nicely musical voice, as otherwise this tendency could be bad. During Weyrling lessons - and later in life, wing practice and Fall - Darbeth will show a tendency to loudly hum (at least between bouts of flaming), trying to inspire his wingmates to do their best and keep their spirits up in combat with their ancient foe. Off-duty, he'll entertain his comrades with an endless supply of tales and songs, some quirk allowing him to remember such things long after most dragons would have forgotten them, although his own experiences will generally be subject to the usual draconic memory.
