V'arlCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: With curls of sable that look messy no matter how much care Melathvarl takes to look presentable. Now fully grown he stands at 6'2" Melathvarl has a bit of a pouch in his belly, one that he works to make into muscle. Even at Fort he's developed a light tan with a splattering of freckles on his cheeks. Personality: Most of his friends call him Varl since his name is such a mouthful, and Melathvarl doesn't mind at all. In fact, the boy is usually easygoing about most things in life. The only thing that truly irritates him is all the grumblers that they've got at Fort. After all, if the weyrbrats *know* they'll Impress green and don't want to be treated like they *should* be treated, they shouldn't Stand. If people don't like the way things are run, they can go live in another Weyr. It's just that simple. Some people behind his back often comment that his quote is: "If you don't like it, get out." History: Born to a drudge and a brownrider named M'enthral, Varl has a couple of half-siblings that he knows about. Growing up as a regular weyrbrat, the young boy was raised believing that Fort was the ideal society. Arolos? That was just a place were the rabble-rousers go. He wouldn't be caught dead there!
