TyrisCharacter type: Candidate Appearance: Tyris is tall, but not extraordinarily so. His frame would be light and wiry if it weren’t for the fact that nature gave him a good deal of bulk on that frame – all of it muscle. His face is the sort of handsome that is more rugged than anything else; squared jaw, ski slope nose with a slight turn up at the end, high cheekbones that are more sharp relief than elegantly placed along his face, and brown eyes that are the same color as his hair. His hair falls a few inches below his ears and tends to turn up slightly along the ends in a way that is no small source of annoyance to Tyris, even if some consider it “cute”. Personality: Tact is something Tyris knows absolutely nothing about. In his mind, it’s easier to lay things out plain, simply, and get directly to the point, than it is to try and dance around things. Unfortunately, this way of thinking can get him into trouble when used around the wrong people. But that doesn’t bother him; Tyris is the type of individual who lets a lot of things blow right passed him with out so much as a twitch. He is, simply put, a confident male who doesn’t bother to spare the world when it comes to what he thinks or feels. In all practicality, the boy is quite naïve – he just doesn’t realize that yet. History: Tyris was one of the many offspring of one of the more prolific greenriders at Ista Weyr. Raised by pretty much everyone, Tyris was one Weyrbrat who made no real connection to anyone for long. He spent his childhood going through friends; his rather blunt nature, apparent even then, making keeping some more sensitive friends a bit of an impossibility. As he grew older, he started going through lovers, quite as randomly and frequently as any greenrider. Tyris is a candidate. His colour preference is Bronze, Brown, Blue, Green Read: Yes All references to worlds and characters based on Anne McCaffrey's fiction are copyright© Anne McCaffrey 1967,2005, all rights reserved, and used by permission of the author.
