TarenenaCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: Tarenena has thick jet black hair that reaches to just above the shoulders and always looks untidy with bits of her fringe (which needs to be cut) constantly going in her eyes. She had large dark brown eyes with quite bushy eyebrows that are only a whisker away from being a monobrow and look like they could use a good pluck. She has light olive skin that will usually tan but can burn too if Tarenena is out in the sun too long. Tarenena is quite short for her age at 5 ft 3 inches but she actually prefers it as it means she can blend in a crowd a lot more which can be very useful when getting up to mischief. While not being skinny she is basically the right weight for her height. This is something she is quite meticulous about and she can't think of anything worse than being over weight as it quite literally repulses her and she can be down right rude to those who are (if she even bothers to notice them at all). Over all she is not strictly pretty but due to the care she takes of her appearance in general (apart from her hair which is unmanageable at the best of times no matter what she does, Tarenena can come off as quite attractive. Personality: Tarenena is very vain and extremely self centred. Not so much in a spoiled brat way but rather in a "what can I get out of this situation"? type way. She can be quite silver tongued at times and quite the charmer when she wants to be. But watch out if you cross her because when she is angry at you, provided she doesn't need or want anything from you, she will let you have it. People are of no use to her or won't gain any advantage from are entirely beneath her notice and she is the type of person who could spend months sleeping in the same room as a person and still not know their name at the end of it if she didn't think they were important enough to know. The funny thing is, is that if you attract her notice she can seem the one of the nicest, most genial people you could meet. She will go out of her way to seem this way until she gets what she wants then drop you like a hot potato all the while crucifying you behind your back. History: Tarenena is one of five daughters of a small cotholder on the east coast of the southern continent. In fact she is the third oldest but rather than compete for attention with her two older sisters, she sat back and let her sisters fight amongst themselves while she went quietly did her own thing. When everyone else took apprenticeships or moved off in various directions, Tarenena decided she wanted to be a dragon rider. Unfortunately the few dragonriders who did come through where she lived didn't necessarily think so and it took two years of her best manipulation to stave off being stuck with a craft she didn't want and be searched. Even then, it was partly that she seduced the searchrider that she got searched. And that was no mean feat as having to support five children meant her family was always struggling and her father was eager to send them off on their way. Tarenena worked on being a daddy's girl convincing him she was seriously thinking about following in his footsteps and was actually half way decent at being a cotholder or at worst a cotholders wife but used some of her best acting to hide the complete an utter boredom it invoked in here. Luckily her father thought it was a great honour to be searched and had no problem with her leaving straight away for Arolos, which she was keen to do before the searchrider had a chance to change his mind. Until she gets comfortable in the weyr, she is going to be constantly looking over her shoulder and wondering if someone will tap her on the shoulder and tell her a mistake has been made.
