T'rstonCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: The gawkiness of adolescence has been staved off by virtue of sheer bulk. Tarston is built like a draft-beast: broad, muscular, and well-padded, though no one with eyes would call him fat. He eats every bit as much as a teenaged boy his size would be expected to eat, and works hard enough to make him worth every bite. He's got a strong face with a square jaw, a broad nose that was once broken by accident, and brown eyes behind surprisingly feminine-looking black lashes, the entire thing topped off with black hair that is perminantly messy. T'rston stands 6'5" tall. Personality: Tarston is a good, stolid boy, one who would do any parent proud to claim. He's loyal, dependable, gentle -- with his physical strength, he had to learn to touch softly-- good at following orders, and he has a knack for children. Highly empathic, he was very attractive to Searchdragons. He's also rivaled in intelligence by several species of rock. Though decent enough at solving common problems and possessed of earthy holder sensibilities, he is almost completely lacking in ambition and horrifyingly gullible. His naievity practically begs to be taken advantage of. History: Tarston is the second son of Storchar and Mortari, a hard-working cotholder and his wife. Their land, beholden to Estuary Hold a goodly distance from the Weyr, is warm and swampy, excellent for the sugarcane they grow in abundance. Tarston had a normal, fairly happy life there.
