T'baranName Pronounced: tabaran Appearance: T'baran has aged like a fine wine. Though perhaps not the tallest man at 5'8", his body is fit like that of any other dragonrider and is also blessed with a charming smile, dimpled cheeks, and kind, dark blue eyes. When he was younger he boasted of an almost electric yellow set of blonde hair but it began losing it's color in his mid-twenties and by the time he was thirty-five his hair was silver-white and has remained so since. He likes it long on top and shaves on the sides and maintains a goatee, though it is a tad shade darker than the hair on his head. Personality: A loyal soldier, T'baran likes to follow orders and get stuff done. He enjoys teamwork and is rather outgoing, with a playful sense of humor. Though he may not always be right, T'baran tries to always make the best choice though sometimes, he's learned, that the most healthy choice for himself and Rolleth is the more painful one. He doesn't often let people get too close anymore, but when they do... well, they earn a place of deep respect and love. History: Born near Ruatha Hold, Tolbaran was searched at the age of twelve and impressed green Rolleth at the age of fourteen. T'baran quickly learned that greens, especially those ridden by men, were not exactly the most popular people at Fort Weyr and soon learned that, if he wasn't needed anywhere, it was best to spend as much time outside the Weyr as possible. Soon, he discovered a love for painting, runners in particular and would spend hours watching them with Rolleth. Information about T'baran's dragon Dragon Name: Rolleth Colour: Green Age: 35 Wing (Weyrling Group): CloudDancers Appearance: Her hide is a conglomeration of different shades of green, one on top of another. Most of her hide is like this and if you looked at one square foot of hide you'd see six or seven or more different shades of creen in there. As a result, she has a camoflauge-like look and hides rather well in deep foliage. She's an older girl now, and has seen her fair share of battles, with scars on her hind legs and neck. Personality: Rolleth used to be a sweet little thing when she was younger, but of the years she's gotten a bit more judgmental and bitter. She's more than willing to say what her rider is thinking. Ever since being bullied by Harth, Rolleth has a mistrust of golds, though will follow their orders, if begrudgingly. She complains a lot and is rather conservative. Weyr of Origin: Fort Abilites and weaknesses: She is experienced. Rolleth has never missed a single Fall since the day it started Falling twenty-eight turns ago. Even when she was scored she flew (even though she probably should not have--there were some dodgy ethics at Fort sometimes) All references to worlds and characters based on Anne McCaffrey's fiction are copyright© Anne McCaffrey 1967,2005, all rights reserved, and used by permission of the author.
