SymeneName Pronounced: Sigh-meen-ee Appearance: Symene stands 5'9" tall and weighs in at 130 pounds, with a slender build. Her hair is straight and medium brown, reaching past laid-back, and is usually kept restrained in a braid. She has grey-blue eyes that are sharp and good at taking in small details of a weaving, or keeping track of the apprentices she's in charge of. Symene's arms are strong, and she has very dextrous hands. Personality: Symene is fairly serious of demeanor. She is very dedicated to her Craft. Tends to be taciturn and (at times) overly stern toward apprentices. When alone, Symene loves to create new weaving patterns and spend time with her feline, Saphy. In public, she isn't overly demonstrative about her feelings. However, she will give praise when it's well earned. History: The result of Goldflight lust, Symene was born to Syleen, a Weaver Journeywoman and a sea trader by the name of Menelen. She is Syleen's only child, and was raised in the Weaver Hall nearest to Arolos Weyr by her mother. Under Syleen's strict supervision, Symene got an early start in her Craft, creating her first small wall hanging at the age of 8 turns. It has mistakes, and is just a simple picture of a redfruit, but it still hangs on the wall in Syleen's bedroom. Menelen is an absentee father, as he didn't want to give up his life of sailing. But Symene has met him, and they get together to visit whenever he's in the area. As far as she knows, she has 2 half brothers, both of whom live in the North. Information about Symene's pets Pet Name: Saphy Pet Type: Feline Appearance: Saphy is as sleek as felines can be, with short, all white fur and an extraordinarily long tail. But what really stands out about Saphy is her uniquely beautiful tri-colored eyes, which are each half gold on the inner side, with the outer halves being sky blue fading into white. Personality: Saphy is generally aloof, as are most felines, although she is definitely attached to her human. She also has a penchant for stealing Symene's socks.
