SollaniCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: Sollani's pride and joy is the long, straight reddish brown hair that she maintains down to her butt. Her build is very slim, and it's clear that curves are still a recent, and on-going development. She stands at about 5'6''. She has a very fair complexion underneath a vast blanket of freckles and her green eyes give her that stereotypical Irish Leprauchan look. The only mar is a VERY fresh threadscore down her right arm. Personality: In her youth Sollani was a very hyper young girl. She'd run around with her best friend, the two of them in turn dragging some of the older candidates into their trouble as well. In her mid-late teens she had a brief sexually experiemental stage, so any that remember her may remember the avid flightmoth even more vividly than the troublesome Weyrling. After leaving Arolos she calmed down considerably, finding Northern weyrs to be much more sobering than life at the bustling Arolos Hold. She has gained a stronger sense of responsibility since giving to birth to a baby boy, but still longs for a certain life (and person) at Arolos. There is of course still a very playful, and sometimes hyper side to her, but it has lost most of the innocence that characterized her during her weyrling years. History: On her first day as a candidate, Sollani got in trouble for touching the hardening eggs on the Sand, and then just after being introduced to candidacy by a VERY scathing lecture, became the focal point of a nasty encounter with a weyr bully. Her candidate days where spent learning (okay, making faces and sneaking out to find and steal fresh bubblies or more of the mice that frequent the lower caverns) and developing strong ties with a couple of the older candidates, as well the youngest. She Impressed Paleth at the very first Hatching of Arolos Weyr, the little Green immediately showing a pension for the same energy and innocence that characterized her rider. Weyrling life was anything but uneventful (She was at ARolos, DUH!) and her experience was marked by disastrous picnics, near-drownings, Firehead, and an early run-in with Firestone that caused just a bit of trouble. Through it all she clung to the same people she had as a candidate, still seeing them as her true family. After Paleth's first Flight, and in light of a now awkward relationship with her best friend, Sollani entered a period of sluthood. This continued until transfer papers were sent through to send her to Ista, the only saving grace of the move being that she wasn't alone in the change. In the North Soll faced a much different life-style, and on occasion extreme prejudice by a handful of riders. As she matured mentally, it was always with the help of a certain goldrider that had always been there for her. The birth of her son was the true turning point from Moth to mother, and she now chooses potential partners with a much greater deal of thought. She requested transfer back to Arolos when the opportunity arose, seeking to fill a void in her life and following the encouragement of that same goldrider. But it is not with the light heart she had envisioned that she returns to life in the South. Information about Sollani's dragon Dragon Name: Paleth Colour: Green Age: 6 Wing (Weyrling Group): Thunder Flame Appearance: She is a very small, very pale green. She, like her rider, has a very fresh threadscore, hers resting across the top of her nose. There is very little variation to her green, the colour a flat shimmer. Personality: Paleth was once a carefree, innocent little sky-hopper, but like her rider she has greatly matured over the years. She takes Threadfall very seriously, using her speed and agility to help fill in the gaps in her wing. Unlike her rider, she still has almost no maternal instincts, and is more likely to be found romping with weyrlings than chastising them. In general, she makes up for her riders gained seriousness through good natured humour and poking. Weyr of Origin: Arolos Abilites and weaknesses: Great speed and agility, but not very high on stamina. Can only fly about a quarter of Fall before she requires a rest, but generally returns to the air before it is over.
