Name Pronounced: shrow (like shroud without the d)
Appearance: A short person about 5ft. 3 in. at age 15, Shinraui (as he was known before impressing bronze Boruth) still has growing to do, but won't be a tall man. When he finally matures, his height will be about 5ft 10in. His once boyish body began to be strengthened by his work and training as a weyling and his body now has been already muscularly sculpted as he gains years as a bronzerider. A quiet confidence and the look, walk, and manner of a sure, potential leader has taken over where that boyishness once existed. He is able to move fluidly and smoothly compared to many other people that he knows and like his dragon appears to be exhibiting his build to its best advantage even though the thought would never even cross his mind.
Personality: When you first met Shinraui in his younger years, he may have seemed a bit quiet, but as you learned more about him and he learned more about you he would eventually lighten up. A deep thinker about many philisophical questions. Ever since seeing the first dragonrider flying above him he knew he wanted to be one himself. He studied and still studies a lot and tries to understand as best he can whatever crosses his path.
History: Shinraui was really just a normal adolescent male, but he was a bit more mature than most other boys his age. He was shunned and learned to take care of himself rather then rely on others. During a storm in the south Shin found a wounded canine underneath a couple of trees. After a bit of work he was able to get the canine free. Shin decided to take care of the injured canine. He was surprised when people often shied away or guarded themselves against Shin's new pet. A lot of eyebrows were raised at his choice of a pet. He eventually set his sights on being a dragonrider. Shin decided early on that his quest for that goal would not be stopped and as he had done with so many things he has fulfilled that goal, but realizes a two new goals replace the first. The first goal is to be the best bronzerider that he can be. The second goal is to be with the woman he has loved since candidate days.
Information about Sh'raui (Shin)'s pets
Pet Name: Frey
Pet Type: Canine
Appearance: A small gash in it's left side from a tree that fell on it earlier in it's life. Other than that it's grey coat is kept in top condition, so that Shin can be proud of Frey.
Personality: Loves to chase things. Whether it be a ball of some sort or something else. Shin's care had turned this creature from a wild creature to a more of a dog like you would see OOC. Very playful. Shin sent Frey back to live with his parents and siblings and takes the canine for runs when he can.
Second Pet Name: Smoke
Pet Type: Feline
Appearance: Smoke is an adult female shorthair feline. If
Personality: Sh'raui adopted Smoke from a neighbor dragonrider a few months after he had been in his and Boruth's weyr. Sh'raui jokes that Smoke's main title is weyr rodent control specialist and the gray feline knows her job well. She has a great deal of respect for dragons and has learned proper feline etiquette to not become a dragon snack. Smoke is something of a loner, but as she began to get used to Sh'raui, Smoke will usually sleep with him or be a lap cat at times. Sh'raui is now hers. Bronze Boruth is hers as well, but she continued to give him or any of his visitors a wide space or remained out of sight in her favorite closet. That behavior changed with bronze Boruth finally when he became used to Smoke and the cat feels comfortable around the big bronze. Sh'raui also takes her on occasional flights. Smoke survived the thread tornado by slipping out into the hallways until the winds died. Sh'raui has become attached to the cat and ever Boruth worries about the feline now. The cat is now content to ride with her owner and dragon in a hide bag fitted with air holes to protect her. Smoke is scared of Freynia's wher and will stay happily in Shin and Boruth's weyr if all is well in Shin's and Boruth's opinion. Otherwise, the bag is her safe place. Boruth had luckily decided Smoke would not be a good midnight snack.
Third Pet Name: Chip
Pet Type: Bronze Firelizard
Appearance: Sh'raui was surprised to find out that the egg held a bronze firelizard. A bronze hatchling that has a similar color to bronze Boruth, but only a bit lighter. His body is well-built and he appears to be clear-eyed and intelligent despite being from a wild gold flit's clutch..
Personality: Chip as Shin has named the little bronze firelizard follows the example of his much larger bronze draconic cousin Boruth. The little fellow will be a bit of a challenge to settle his mind that he will not grow to be as large as Boruth. Otherwise he will be devoted to Sh'raui and Boruth and whoever they are devoted to. The flit will be independent and prone to wander a little especially when female flits rise. There will likely be many of his flit children born to fly around Arolos Weyr as he ages.
Information about Sh'raui (Shin)'s dragon
Dragon Name: Boruth
Wing (Weyrling Group): Skystrikers
Appearance: Boruth is a large, dark bronze, with somewhat reddish highlights. While not the largest of dragons, his presence gives the impression of being far larger than he actually is. He has a lot of brute strength, and even at hatching, his muscles are surprisingly well developed. One gets the feeling that as an adult, he could be a Wing unto himself.
Personality: Though a natural leader in his own right, Boruth is quite content to follow a Wingleader who is strong and effective. A weak one, however, will have to watch himself, as Boruth may (albeit reluctantly) seek to supplant him, convincing his lifemate to try for the job - or in the case if such were the Weyrleader, to give chase to the senior Queen himself. He feels that people (and dragons) are stronger together than separate, and will strive to be a unifying force if necessary. Boruth also doesn't like tradition for tradition's sake; if something can be done another (better) way, that's how he wants to do it, no matter how it's been done in the past.
Weyr of Origin: Arolos
Abilites and weaknesses: Boruth has exhibited, even from hatching, both strength and intelligence, as well as a logical mind. His main weakness may prove to be his natural bronze cockiness.
