Character type: Dragonrider
Appearance: R'breq is an unremarkable looking man. There are no distinguishing marks on his face, and while he's tallish, he's not *so* tall that it's noteworthy. His hair is brown, and his eyes are brown, and his skin, if he was inclined to spending an excess of time outside, would clash with his hair and eyes when he burned a bright red. He lucked out, and has mostly straight, healthy teeth. R'breq keeps his clothes neat and tidy, his boots well worked with oil, his knots perfect. His self control seems obvious enough in his personal bearing.
Personality: Not a piece of clothing out of place, not a messy strap, not a hair out of place. Outside and inside, R'breq is ordered, and almost serenely in control. He doesn't *do* high drama in his relations, and he may seem mean in his calmness. Seem might be the wrong word -- he is mean in his calmness. He's better than everyone, smarter, just superior in every way, so why not be a little mean? Go on, try to tell R'breq that he should change his hard personality, that he doesn't have to be overbearing and superior -- and get your head taken off as a reward.
History: Following in the footsteps of success is hard. R'breq wouldn't know that, though, as his father and his father before him were irresponsible failures at the task of dragon riding. R'breq considers it a miracle that his father managed to work out the mechanics of how to make children, a miracle that has allowed him to stand on the relatively low record of his family and make great strides away from that boring history.
Information about R'breq's dragon
Dragon Name: Tectuth
Wing (Weyrling Group): Unforgettables (Adoptables Wing)
Appearance: There are dark bronzes and light bronzes and pretty bronzes, and ugly bronzes. Tectuth is one of those who fall in the middle of the line. He's a hard-looking bronze, with wide wings, and good musculature. There's a threadscore along his tail, on the left side, a wound that had angered Tectuth because it had marred his perfect, flat bronze hide.
Personality: Tectuth is a spiteful creature. He picked well when he chose R'breq, who fails to temper his personality with good traits. Together, they can create a feedback loop of agreement with eachother that can block out the best logic. He's loyal to the concept of fighting thread, though, and most of his focus lays there, rather than perceived day to day slights.
Weyr of Origin: Ista
Abilites and weaknesses: Because of his muscle mass, Tectuth has trouble staying aloft *quite* as long as he should be able to. It's good for short bursts of powerful flight, but as a long-term flier, he struggles.
