P'tierCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: Standing at six feet, over the turns, P'tier has worked off most unecessary fats off his body. He is composed of all lithe, catlike muscles that are nowhere near feeling his age, yet. With dark brown hair cropped close to his head, and stormy grey eyes, P'tier is a rather good looking man. His nose is large, prominent, with a straight bridge; however, instead of detracting from his looks, it works on him, adding character to his features. A few lines streak the corners of his eyes and his mouth, obvious especially when he smiles, but, aside from that, there are no other visible signs of his age. Personality: When he was young, he was a brash, temperamental, prejudiced brownrider - a typical Fort Weyr product. For many turns, P'tier remained the same; though the turns curbed his temper somewhat, his brashness and his prejudice remained the same. Slowly, over the course of several more turns, P'tier learned tolerance - all of them in very small steps. Now, P'tier is more laid back, vastly more tolerant, patient, and restrained. He still feels that same-sex relations are perverted, but he no longer goes to lengths to put down the people in those relations. He doesn't even display his feelings - P'tier has adopted the "as long as they don't try to involve me" method of dealing with such things. When he sees something that doesn't exactly sit right with him, P'tier simply looks away and pays it no mind, instead of creating a ruckus to get rid of its presence. He's still uncomfortable with male greenriders, female blueriders, and the like, but he won't outright shun them or attack them the way he used to, and can even converse decently with them. Age has certainly mellowed P'tier; he no longer bursts into flames over a slight. He has also developed a wry, sarcastic sense of humor, where he can make fun of, and laugh at, himself - or, the rigidly bigoted man he used to be. History: Birthing Day - 20th Day of the 6th Month Information about P'tier's pets Pet Name: Than Pet Type: Blue Callamere Wher Appearance: A dark, wedgwood blue, Than has ended up being a rather large blue, for a Callamere. He no longer has that round, dumpling look from when he was a whelp, having grown up to match the growing out he did in his first few sevendays of life. His face, his body, is all curving lines, though he's no longer that plump dumpling, and this gives the impression that Than is a friendly and harmless creature. Well, as harmless as a Wher can ever get. Of course, this impression is entirely misleading, as ten minutes in his presence will show. Personality: A naturally headstrong creature, Than is prone to leaping into situations without thought. Like all Callameres, Than moves to challenge first before attacking, but there is far less time between challenge and attack than the average wher, due to his impulsive tendencies. It was a big problem for a while, as Than saw everyone as a potential threat and reacted accordingly, but a meeting with the great bronze Boo taught him a few things. Though he no longer challenges everyone who so much as looks at P'tier, Than still considers it his privilege to be P'tier and Meith's, and woe betide anyone who attempts to get in the way of his duty. Information about P'tier's dragon Dragon Name: Meith Colour: Brown Age: 28 Wing (Weyrling Group): CloudDancers Appearance: His hide is a brown so dark, it looks black at night and in shadows, though Meith is clearly a brown - albeit a very dark colored one - in sunlight. Like his rider, Meith is visibly leaner than his peers. While the other browns are larger with bigger muscle mass, his steel-hard muscles are leaner, making Meith smaller in width, though the length of him will more than match any brown there is. With his coloring and his slimmer build, Meith really does look terrifyingly sinister, especially at night, when he blends in with the shadows and seems to come out of nowhere. Personality: Quiet and alert, a silent guardian against anything and everything that could possibly harm his rider. A little narrow-minded in the sense that, as long as his rider is okay, nothing else really matters at all, in his point of view. Meith is also not above scare tactics to punish insolent humans who are negative to his lifemate, though they are simply _scare_ tactics, nothing actually meant to harm someone. An indifferent conversationalist to other dragons, a silent and baleful creature to any human besides his rider that tries to address him, Meith is a gruff dragon, completely pleasant and supportive of only P'tier. He makes a show of tolerating Than for P'tier's sake only, but, as time passed, the blue wher grew on him - though Meith would probably never admit it, always taking care to treat the wher with indifference. Weyr of Origin: Fort Abilites and weaknesses: His slender, aerodynamic build enables him to be quite a bit more flexible than his fellow browns, and that has been a great asset in Threadfall.
