Name Pronounced: MISS-lee
Appearance: Already quite tall and muscled, Misli looks like a guard or rider at first glance before looking at his knots or inquiring about his age. He’s got light blond hair that is kept oddly long, down to his waist. He knows that, should he be accepted as a candidate or a rider, he’ll have to cut it, but he’s fine with that. For now, the hair acts as a memento to remind him of what he lives for. When he Impresses, he’ll see his past complete and a new phase in his life beginning, so a haircut is perfectly symbolic.
Personality: Looking at Misli at first, one would think that he was an arrogant asshole. While that can be true at some times, there’s much more to him than that. He’s a good listener, comiserator, friend, leader, and follower all depending on what the situation calls for. When he has his mind or heart set on something, he doesn’t stop until it’s done or he’s woefully beaten back by failure. Misli is a stubborn fool at times and said failures are devastating to him in the moment, but overall they only serve to add fuel to his fire to succeed in life. He will prove that he has every right to live.
History: Born 5.12 in a minor hold that looked to Igen Weyr owned by his father, Misli was raised in a rather comfortable lifestyle. He learned the politics of leading a minor hold as well as reading, figuring, and writing from his father’s steward. Misli’s father himself would teach him runnerback riding, dueling, and the importance of extremely careful decision-making. His mother was the gentle velvet glove to his father’s iron fist, though his father was hardly cruel or oppressive. When he was eight, his mother gave birth to a baby sister who the family and staff just doted over.
