MilawynName Pronounced: My-lah-winn Appearance: Milawyn is a girl of simple appearances. Rich brown hair cut pixie style and choppy frames her narrow heart-shaped face, sweeping cheek bones, and an easy-going quirky smile. One of the things she absolutely hates about her face is the almost miniscule mousy nose she was cursed with. She stands at a medium height of 5’5” and just glancing at her, you can tell there isn’t an ounce of fat on her body…in fact, she’s positively lanky. Milawyn barely acquired the necessary curves that mark her as a woman, which she is constantly looking out for and praying that she is graced with more. Boyishly cute in her own way with her lightly dusky skin, awkward grace and owlish tawny-green eyes, Milawyn isn’t someone who is going to jut out from a crowd unless sought out. She’s constantly tugging her thin hands into her hair to keep it out of her face or out of pure habit, which causes some disarray most of the time. A small scar marks the top of her right eyebrow where she rapped her head good against the corner of a table when she was a mere toddler. Personality: Just like her appearance suggests, Milawyn is more on the tomboy side of things rather than the prissy feminine type. It doesn’t mean she doesn’t like those girly habits, it just means she isn’t geared towards the innate ability that most girls possess. She possesses a certain spark of intelligence that gives her the natural craving she feels to experience and learn as much as she possibly can. She is struggling currently with finding out how she fits into the grand scheme called life. Milawyn tends to try to go with the flow of things normally, being very easy going in nature and enjoyable in person. She’s been called strange at times for she tries to find new and exciting ways to view normal things or subjects. While it takes a specific type of person to appreciate who she is, it doesn’t take much to just plain enjoy being near her. Awkward to the core, she moves almost with a cat-like stride…only without the lithe figure or the grace. Her temper is of the mild sort, kept well in check. She secretly craves to be more feminine, to be just like all the beautiful girls she sees and do their beautiful girl things. In terms of relationships, Milawyn is far from experienced. While she dreams just like any other girl to one day find her rider in shining armor, she isn’t in a hurry. History: Milawyn was Weyrborn and creche-raised, being the daughter of two dragonriders. She was far from abandoned by her parents, although she generally spent most of her life being raised by the crecheworkers and playing with the other weyrbrats rather than with her parents and other siblings [if she'd had any]. Both her mother and father tried hard to incorporate time for her when she was younger, enough to the point where she never really felt deprived, but the demands of being a dragonrider always seemed to outweigh in the end. Milawyn, as a result, was left to her own devices to grow and mature into the type of person she is today with all her little quirks and awkwardness. While being fairly well disciplined by the crecheworkers, she never really got the individual attention some children were blessed with and it may be the reason behind her lack of femininity but also the reason behind her keen thirst for learning. Overall, her childhood was nothing out of the ordinary with all it's normal daring tales and sharp lessons. Milawyn is a candidate. Her colour preference is Gold, Green, Blue Read: Yes All references to worlds and characters based on Anne McCaffrey's fiction are copyright© Anne McCaffrey 1967,2005, all rights reserved, and used by permission of the author.
