MarnaName Pronounced: Mar-nuh Appearance: Marna is considered shorter than most of her peers. Standing only about 5'2 she's constantly at the butt of her three older brothers' jokes. Despite being short, she's very slender; her time helping with herdbeasts making her smaller body lean and very limber. Marna's skin is very pale, making her seem fragile, but her true strength is shown in her gentle honey brown eyes. Her black hair is barely reaches her pale shoulders and is always kept up in two low-hanging pigtails. Marna has small hands and nimble fingers that allow her to help out with problems that her much larger brothers have problems with. Even with the type of work she does, Marna still has gentle hands that she uses when soothing herdbeasts. She also has a pale, thin scar crossing her back from her left shoulder to her right hip that she received when she was young from an accident with a herdbeast. Personality: Marna always has a kind word for others when they are feeling down. Her fragile appearance hides an indomidiable spirit that keeps her going no matter how tough times become. Marna is normally very soft spoken with others which sometimes leads to her having trouble expressing herself in certain situations. Gentle to a fault and sometimes clumsy, Marna knows how to smooth over any situation with a smile or friendly words. Marna is always smiling about something and laughs easily, especially at herself when she has a particularly clumsy day. Desipite her outgoing personality, or maybe because of it, Marna hates to be left alone. Instead she likes being where people are and gets upset or frightened when by herself for to long. History: Marna was born in Ista Hold the youngest child of a Journeyman Beastherder and a simple kitchen cook. When she was ten, her brother Jarazet brought home a firelizard egg home for their mothers birthday. A small green hatched and the family named her Jade. Marna's mother managed to teach the little creature to deliver messages; though only to her small family and herself. Her oldest brother Martel was found on Search when she was thirteen and soon became M'tel when he Impressed brown Tozairith at Ista Weyr. He remained at the weyr with his new lifemate while she and the rest of her family returned to Ista Hold after the hatching. When she turned fourteen she was chosen to apprentice under a Masterherder and two turns later traveled with him to Arolos Weyfor a gather. While at the weyr, Marna was found on Search for the weyr's next hatching and that is where she now resides. Her family is extremely proud of her, and, though apprehensive about the outcome, hope to find some way to come and watch the hatching when their daughter stands on the hatching sands. Even her oldest brother M'tel has promised to make the hatching if possible. Information about Marna's pets Pet Name: Kup Pet Type: Blue Firelizard Appearance: Kup is a gangly and lean little blue. His hide his a pale shade of turquoise except for over his multi-faceted eyes where a strip of darkest sapphire sits mask-like over his face. Personality: Kup acts like a grouchy old man most of the time. He seems to enjoy grouching at Marna every chance he gets; especially when she's doing something she's not supposed to. Despite this, Kup has a soft spot for most young children and can't stand to see a young lady crying. This little guy often goes out of his way to cheer up anyone he sees having a bad day or someone who's clearly upset.
