Character type: Other
Appearance: She's a saucy blond haired girl and it shows. The instant you look at Maquita you can see the mischievous glint in her eye and the slight tilt to her lips that can mean only one thing. Yes, she thinks she's better than you and she's willing to match wits, or tits to prove it. Maquita has non-descript hazel eyes that have no attraction whatsoever in and of themselves, it's the light dancing around inside them from her all to obvious emotions, that catches your notice. If she's happy you can tell right off, her eyes are soft and okay- alluring. If she's angry- watch out! Her eyes can cut you in two without even blinking and it doesn't really matter if you are the one she's angry with. Maquita has pretty pink lips that can pout just so and she usually gets what she's after. At five feet nine and a half inches tall, she's not one of those short girls the Weyr seems to have in over abundance. Thin, of course she's thin. She has very tiny, pert breasts that she never, ever...ever binds up. She likes her perky little breasts with their very pointy nipples and she never hesitates to show them off, in clothes or out of clothes.
Personality: Cocky isn't quite the right word to discribe Maquita, but it is very close. She's arrogant and very self-centered. The world truly does revolve around her and if you don't think so, well, she'll just have to set you straight on that one. If you aren't welcome in her little world you might as well not exist at all because she will not give you the time of day- give up trying to fit in- it won't work. She does have some endearing qualities, she's playful- very playful. She's always looking for new ways to have fun, so if you do something that catches her playful side you are as good as in with her. Then again, she may just steal your playful idea and do away with you if you don't interest her enough.
History: Maquita was born at Forest Edge Hold and fostered off North when her mother told her father to get rid of her or she'd kill her. Harsh? Yes, but better than the alternative. What, you don't think parents want to kill their children? This mother did. Maquita at the ripe old age of eight had about ruined her mother's sanity with her willful, demanding ways. Not to mention the girl somehow wound daddy around her little finger and tended to come between the husband and wife worse than a mistress would have. At least a mistress would be left outside the house and not demand ~all~ of the husband's attention. As soon as daddy came home from the fields, Maquita was in his arms hugging, kissing and then demanded daddy play games and entertain her. Tired Daddy was always revived by Maquita's energy and would entertain the girl with stories, card games, all kinds of playful antics and he'd do so right up until the time Maquita went to bed. So, why did this behavior irritate mommy so? Because when Maquita was done with Daddy all the energy he had was totally zapped and mommy was left with nothing. Not even a word. She might get a grunt or possibly a groan, but not much more than that and this went on for turns! No brothers or sisters, how could there be- daddy had ~no~ energy for mommy- none. During the day Maquita was non-stop in her cute little I'm the best thing in the entire world, worship me- little way. Or, cute that is to others. Mommy started to hate her own child, when the child was very young. So shipped North to a small cothold near Fort Hold, Maquita grew up into the woman she is today under the influence of a typical Fort Hold family. Now, how did this young, ripe Candidate become a Candidate? Seems her father wanted to visit with his nearly grown daughter, as he did almost once every two Turns as he could afford to pay a rider to take him North. The rider took a fancy to Maquita and introduced the dear girl to the pleasures of the flesh. Not wanting to leave her North, he told her she was Search and took her back to Arolos Weyr with him where he conned a Search Token off someone and stuck it in her hand one night when her demanding ways became too much for him. That the Search Token was old and dateless without a rider's name on it, aroused suspicions and Stryka an ACM had the girl Searched again just to make sure. It wouldn't be the first time someone tried to sneak one past the ACM. Fortunately for the girl, unfortunately for the ACM's the Search was confirmed, but Stryka had to wonder after that if Search dragons weren't somehow influenced by batting eyes, and pleading demeanors.
