LidikaniCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: Lidikani is of medium height, about 5'5'', and has a slight, athletic build. Some might call her too thin, but she still has a feminine shape. She is pretty, with tan skin, dark, chocolate eyes, and long, straight, light brown hair, but nowhere near beautiful. Her hair is normally worn in a braid or otherwise pulled back, but falls out of the tie to leave lots of wisps around her face. Personality: While being somewhat shy, Lidikani is kind and generous to those who are her true friends. Her shyness is something she often fights with, trying to be more friendly. She is very moody, though, and can be very irritable and depressed at times. However, she hates showing weakness or sadness, so she tries to put on a happy or angry face when she's feeling bad. She has a knack for ignoring those who annoy her, but she always finds time for those she cares about. She is highly intelligent and loves to learn and can't abide slow or thickwitted people. Highly perfectionistic, Kani would do a lot of extra work to make everything in her life the best. Patience is not one of her strong points, but when around new people, or those she doesn't know too well, she hardly ever shows annoyance or impatience. She knows how to hold a grudge, and often will not forgive things done to her or her friends, even when they will. Along with "protecting" her friends, the only things that would truly provoke her to be outright mean would be dangerous stupidity or outright cruelty. Generally, though, she prefers to avoid conflict. She doesn't like standing out or having "all eyes on her," but also is competitive and loves to win, so she tries to balance those two emotions frequently. History: Lidikani was born to a Journeyman Weaver and his wife, their only child. Growing up in the Northern Crafthall in Southern Boll, she learned much about cloth and its making, but never thought that weaving would be her career. She had a lovely voice and often assisted the hold harper with lessons, and when she reached apprenticeable age, she hoped to be sent to the Harper Hall. Her parents, though, disagreed, and kept her at the Weaver Crafthall. After an abortive attempt to run away to Harper Hall in Fort, she became resigned and lethargic. During this time, she was often sick and at her parent's home. Her parents were gifted with two fire-lizard eggs for a particularly fine bit of work, and Lidikani was given charge over them to give her something to do. They hatched a day earlier than expected, when her father was travelling for a job, and she Impressed a brown, while her mother Impressed the other. After another year, she was sent south to visit relatives and to try to regain her health. While there, she was Searched and brought to Arolos Weyr as a candidate. Her parents weren't too happy about that, either, but there really wasn't anything for them to do. She's now at the Weyr and a little insecure, but thinks that being a dragonrider would be a large improvement over weaving.
