LeafCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: Leaf is 5ft9 and has a small frame and medium build, she is thin but shapely. She has delicatley tanned skin from living in Arolos for so long. Personality: Time is what she needed. After the Hatching of the FarQuesters, Leaf ignored the rules and left the Weyr. She knew it would mean her expulsion from Candidacy, but she did not care. Her heart was heavy. She felt her only purpose in life was to be a Rider. It had consumed her so much that she no longer knew why she continued to Stand. History: (Born: Prepass - 5 turns, 10th month, 18th day) Leaf was born in Benden Weyr. Her father, Marorach (Ma-ooh-ack), was a Harper, he raised her, along with the 7 other children, which became her siblings. Her mother had been unable to take care of her, having 12 children herself, 4 of which had been adopted. After her mother and father split, Leaf went to live with him, she was an only child then, and it stayed this way for quite some time, until her father was asked to look after a child who’s parents had died in an accident, the boy, named Eron (Er-on), was only 3 when her father took him in. Her father proved himself to be such a good parent that he went on to take 6 more children into his care, Leaf, the eldest by 2 years, was called upon time and again to take care of her siblings, she didn’t resent them, but it goes a long way to explaining her love of the peaceful outdoors. At the age of 12, her brother, Eron, Impressed a Bronze, she was 14 at the time and the family had gathered outside the Hatching Sands to see how he did, her father had decided that going in was a bad idea as some of the younger children might not keep quite. It had been a glorious day for all of the family when he came out and told them of his new Bronze Renoith (Ren-oh-ith), it left Leaf, however, wondering what she would do with her life. Her father had been very patient with her, he had allowed her to spend time with various people to see if she wanted to do what they did, but nothing felt quite right, until that is, she saw Renoith, he was so beautiful, and the bond between he and her brother was like nothing she had seen. This is what she wanted, to be a Rider, her father was proud that she had made the choice, and in his opinion, it was a wise choice indeed. Her father took her to see the Weyr's Search Dragon, her brother had been Searched, but Leaf had not seen it, she had been shocked to get such a quick reaction from the Blue, but the Blue and his rider confirmed she could stand, but there would be no more clutches for a while at the Weyr, so she bid temporary farewell to her family and went to another Weyr, then another, and another. She had been at a Hatching 5 times now, and each time she had not Impressed, each time she had been devastated, each time she had picked herself up and tried again. She tries to stay in contact with her family, but it proves difficult, if she fails to Impress once again she may well give up and go home, although that is what she say’s every time. Information about Leaf's dragon Dragon Name: Miketh Colour: Blue Age: 8.15.01.07 Wing (Weyrling Group): Direflame Appearance: Miketh's original colouring and appearance changed drastically over the turns. He now has a quite feline-like look to him, and even moves a little like one, tending to prowl around rather than simply walk normally. Personality: Miketh (pro = MEE-keth) is a brooding Dragon, full of dark thoughts and mistrust. This born of his turbulent relationship with his Rider has changed him from the gentle natured and easy going Dragon he used to be. It used to be easy for any Dragon or human to get along with Miketh but now he finds it difficult to talk to anyone. It's almost as if he and Leaf are united by their lack of trust in others. It's a great shame, as Miketh used to be the type to want to please everyone and who could bring another Dragon out of their proverbial shell with ease. Weyr of Origin: Arolos Abilites and weaknesses: Miketh's strange contempt for almost everything is both his biggest strength and his greatest downfall. Nothing seems too big of a problem for Miketh, he tackles even large problems with a slightly amused and scornful flick of his tail. This, however, leaves him vulnerable to those things which are a real threat as Miketh finds it difficult to take such things seriously.
