L'narCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: Palinar is a rather attractive young man who knows it, and he works hard to keep himself looking good. Average in height at 5'10, with another couple of inches to grow as he ages, his build is strong but not bulky and he's not lean enough to be considered gangly either. In fact, he'd consider himself just right. He has a light tan, any darker and one might consider him farmer or dockworker which doesn't really fit with his self image. His hair is a light honey blond in colour, Personality: Being a vain young man, Palinar exudes self confidence in almost any situation, and on the rare occasion when he doesn't he takes great care in covering it up. Despite having a rather inflated view of himself, he is generous with compliments towards others and will always try to find something nice to say to whoever he happens to be speaking to at the time. Charming and polite, he tends to make friends and aquaintances easily though his vanity can be a bit trying at times and he can sometimes be obliviously condescending. He doesn't mean to, and knows full well that not everyone grew up with the same advantages he did, but it still comes out from time to time. Due to a somewhat sheltered upbringing, he tends to see the world in black and white and can have some difficulty with the grey areas, things are always either good or bad and it will be hard to get him to see that it isn't always the case. He is generally easy going but he does have a stubborn streak, especially if he thinks that he is right and he will happily argue his point until the other side gives up in frustration. History: The eldest son of a wealthy trader, Palinar has always lived the good life. His father runs a small but lucrative import/export business between the North and the South and he is good enough at it that his family had never run into any real hardships, even when times in general were tough. Due to the nature of the trade, the family has moved around quite a bit in the past from seahold to seahold wherever the opportunities are the best. Because of this Palinar got a taste for travel and adventure early in life, even if it was with his family and rather tame by most people's standards. Information about L'nar's pets Pet Name: Brass Pet Type: Bronze Firelizard Appearance: Brass is a large solidly framed deep bronze flit. He is almost uniform in colour except for a darker reddish bronze stripe that runs down his back from his wings to his tail. His wings appear a little long but they don't seem to impede him in any way. Personality: Horribly vain, Brass is the type of creature who will pause at any reflective surface in order to admire himself and he will happily spend several candlemarks preening. He doesnt like to be touched except by his pet, unless theres some sort of bribery involved. He won't snap if touched but he will gripe about it. Most people would consider him stand offish, but he is loving enough of his pet and fiercly protective. Second Pet Name: Dack Pet Type: Canine Appearance: Dack is a medium large canine of unknown lineage, though his markings and body shape do bring the collie to mind. Fortunately for him he does not have long puffy hair though he can be described as scruffy and the fur on his tail is longer. His colour is primarily black and he has white markings, most notably a lopsided collar around his neck, a splotch on his belly and a white tip on his tail. Personality: Goofy and lovable, Dack loves people, dragons, flits, other canines, felines you name it and if something doesn't like him back he sulks. He lives to please and is relatively clever when it comes to learning tricks and he loves to play fetching games. He loves leather toys and unfortunately that extends to things like L'nar's boots and riding straps, so anything made of leather has to be kept out of his reach or watched if he's around. Information about L'nar's dragon Dragon Name: Tymith Colour: Bronze Age: 10 Wing (Weyrling Group): Thunder Flame Appearance: Egg - Gilded Summer Egg: The Gilded Summer Egg is like lying on your back on a summers day, looking up through the foliage of a tree, where each leaf is gilded with the gold of the sun. There is something restful about looking at it, a sense of drawing strength before some great endeavour. The Egg seems to whispher with encouraging words like the wind through the sun-touched leaves, enticing Candidates to stay a while, to dream of glory and derring-do as the flicker of light plays over them. Touch the Gilded summer Egg and you will feel the warmth and immensity of everything stretching out before you in numerous possibilities and the knowledge you can find your dreams in it's flickering light. Personality: If there is one central tenet that lies at the core of Tymith's personality, it is courage pure and simple. He respects it, he uses it as a judgement of a person or dragons worthiness. The weakest dragon in the world will earn his friendship by displaying courage. And this is in all aspects. He will have no time for people who don't face up to things, whether emotional or physical. That will annoy him greatly. Weyr of Origin: Arolos Abilites and weaknesses: Due to his build, Tymith has strength and stamina to spare but he is not an agile dragon.
