L'lasCharacter type: Dragonrider Appearance: L'las isn't tall, or particularly outstanding to look at, he just has regular features..apart from a slightly crooked nose which he broke when he was a weyrling. Standing 5'9" tall with his boots on he's a slender man whose light frame hides his reasonable strength. Everything about him is nondescript, from his mid blond shoulder length hair to his mid brown eyes, to his indistinct garb of dusty blue and muddy brown. You'd never pick him out from a crowd because you wouldn't notice him. The only flash of bright colour that ever shows him up amongst everyone else is the fact that he always has a green handkerchief in his pocket, so if you need to find him try making him sneeze! He has Thread scars on his left arm and thigh. Personality: Fairly uncommunicative for a blue rider, L'las speaks in short sentences which might give the impression that he's a bit thick. This isn't the case however, it just shows that there's plenty going on inside his head which he won't tell you because you might not agree or you won't understand. He's active enough, never lazy, and will constantly have something at his fingertips to turn over when he's forced to sit still through meetings. He's placid by nature but if you do manage to upset him, he's not likely to ever forgive or forget. It takes a while before he reaches that stage and during that time he'll get quieter and quieter, so if you start hearing him speak only one word at a time it might be a good idea to leave him alone. He's a genuinely nice man underneath, if you can only get a conversation going with him. Unfailingly polite to the opposite sex, he's quite shy about relationships and if it wasn't for mating flights would probably not have had sex at all. History: The fourth, negligible, son of a minor holder Lanel and his wife Nastasi, Lanelas was unlikely to come into any part of the already stretched holding. His elder brothers were much more interested in the running of the place and his younger ones weren't old enough to care. Having only one sister, eight turns younger gave him a small interest in clothing and his parents happily packed him off at 12 to start a tailoring apprenticeship. He did well at the craft, walking the tables at 21 with a fine portfolio of finished garments to his name. He came to the attention of one of the younger get of Fort's Lord Holder and was there doing a fittings session for the next gather outfit when he was Searched. As he was right at the upper age limit for candidacy, he knew he had only one chance to Impress before he returned to his craft so he wasn't expecting it to happen. Information about L'las's pets Pet Name: Little Git Pet Type: Blue firelizard Appearance: A fairly chunky blue, he takes after his dam in terms of body shape and is growing to a good size. In colour he's a bit patchy, like a summer sky with wisps of cloud diluting the clear deep blue to a much lighter shade. His wingtips are so light that at first glance it appears that they're not there if you see him against a pale background. The wings themselves are a little small for his weight which means he doesn't ever fly far or often, preferring to waddle as much as possible. Personality: Inquisitive is such a huge understatement. L'las sometimes wonders if the word was invented for his flit because he's into everything. Ever since he first cracked shell he's been poking his nose into things, especially where he shouldn't in terms of his owner's sewing equipment and possessions. In fact that's how come he got his name. To start with L'las was forever (so it seemed) saying "You're too little, git out of there, you'll be squashed" as the blue rummaged around amongst bolts of cloth many times his size and somehow the name stuck. But as he's grown some he's now more often just called Git. Information about L'las's dragon Dragon Name: Turquith Colour: Blue Age: 7 Wing (Weyrling Group): Unforgettables (Adoptables Wing) Appearance: Turquith is slender but strong, like his lifemate, with a narrow muzzle and wings that look almost too fragile to hold up his 26 feet length. His colour is what makes him stand out though because the majority of his body is one solid shade of light blue, with only his wings legs and belly being a little darker although still with light blue patches. Thread scars cover his left shoulder from an early unavoidable injury. His headknobs are rather pronounced, giving him the appearance of a great thinker, even if he's not one. Personality: A good match physically for his rider, as they share the same light build, Turquith is quite different in personality. Although he's nearly as quiet as L'las, being also a thoughtful type, he's also less active, preferring to laze around instead of being constantly on the go. Capture his interest somehow and you might get a few words although generally he'll speak to someone through his rider rather than direct. He prefers how it feels inside his one's own head, thank you very much. Maybe he's just shy... Weyr of Origin: Fort Abilites and weaknesses: Nimble in the air as you'd expect from a blue of his size he gets through a lot of firestone during a Fall. Being lazy means he's more prone to leaving flaming until the last possible second although his rider is trying to change this aspect of him, with a little success so far.
