KalimarName Pronounced: (Cal-ee-mar)) Appearance: Kalimar is a bouncing baby boy with all of the childish roundness firm in him. At the age of three, he is lean for a baby. He has the round eyes of his father, and luckily, the small, straight nose of his mother. He has a stubborn chin that promises trouble for the family who took him in. Personality: Kalimar is already showing signs of stubbornness, though it isn't as pronounced as his happiness yet. He is loved by almost everyone who knows him because of his cheerful personality. He wins over people's hearts constantly with those blue eyes and bright smile. History: Kalimar was born to Kr'tin, a brown rider, and an unknown rider mother. He was taken to a good home in Forest Edge Hold a few days after birth and has grown up there until the age of three. His father visits him often and brings toys for him and his foster sister, Lidya. Kalimar cherishes his family and wants to be none other than a dragon rider when he grows up. Kalimar has begun to think of Ghridian as his real father and Kr'tin as more of a friend. Kr'tin doesn't mind, and still visits the five Turn old nearly every day. Young Kalimar has begun to foster hopes of going back to the Weyr with Kr'tin when he is old enough to Impress a dragon. He knows his biological father will whisk him away to the Weyr and dreams of the far off day often. Kalimar's father recently came and retrieved him from the hold to travel to the Weyr. The boy will miss his foster family, but his eyes are filled with glorious dreams of Impressing a dragon now. Even if he is much too young. Kalimar died of the plague during the Quarantine Information about Kalimar's hold Hold Name: Benechnad All references to worlds and characters based on Anne McCaffrey's fiction are copyright© Anne McCaffrey 1967,2005, all rights reserved, and used by permission of the author.
