Name Pronounced: Juck-CELL
Appearance: Standing at a solid 6’, J’xel is a sharp-looking young man. He has very defined features, inherited from his father, but he is not someone that physically stands out in a crowd; the angled planes of his face are perhaps *too* sharp and harsh for typical bronzerider handsomeness. His eyes are dark green; his nose is a shade too long and bears the same sharp hook that his father inherited. His face is thin and almost perpetually stubbled -- he’ll have a shadow not too long after shaving. Luckily, this isn’t a bad look for him and he wears it well. His eyes are small, and tend to look as if he knows some secret that you didn’t want revealed, but if he is thrust into some unexpected situation you’ll be able to tell. While his features could easily look threatening (and perhaps would, if he were ever to get truly angry or upset), his friendly smile and easy attitude will stop most fright there.
Personality: Before Musath, J'xel was very demanding on himself and worked ferociously at anything he did, yet somehow often found himself falling short of his goals. The bronze dragon has changed that, and his rider finds himself more laidback, still driven but less like a herdbeast off a cliff. J'xel has lapsed into an easy-going young man with high ambitions (another change Musath brought around!) and the hard-working grit to achieve them, given time. His need to please everyone seems to have morphed into a strange mix of duty and concern for the well-being of his wingmates; a wing full of healthy riders who are all depressed doesn't do anyone any good, and the past Turns he apprenticed in Healing seem to be coming in handy.
History: J'xel was born and raised in Verd Hold to two Holders. Although his father dabbled in beastcrafting, there was never any substantial interest on J'xel's part as most things furry and cuddly seem to have an unnatural dislike for him. His early childhood was happy if uneventful, and although he earned his fair share of hard knocks from his older brothers and sisters, mostly the extensive family got along famously.
Information about J'xel's pets
Pet Name: Weyrwoman
Pet Type: Green Wher
Appearance: Hatched on 188.8.131.52 -- Now 7 months old!
Personality: Weyrwoman is a diva, there's just no other way to put it. She's as high-maintenance as a wher can get, prone to petulant little fits when she doesn't get her way and remarkably manipulative for a creature that's not supposed to be intelligent enough to get the better of her owner.
Information about J'xel's dragon
Dragon Name: Musath
Wing (Weyrling Group): Flamespires
Appearance: Musath is a large bronze. Not the biggest, but definitely big and he has a presence that makes him seem even more formidable. He has large paws (about which he is very sensitive), and they cause him to be less than graceful while walking unless he exaggerates to the point of eccentricity. His tail has a way of constantly twitching or moving, and no matter what he does he can't stop it. This increases if he is agitated or nervous, and likely it will be something that crops up before he chases in any Flight.
Personality: Musath is a wise dragon, often priding himself in being able to impart his wisdom to dragons young and old alike. Unfortunately this tends to make him nosy, butting in on dragon and human conversations to give his take of a situation whether it's wanted or not. He'll also be a bit of a father figure, liking to take younger males under his wing and teach them. In fact if he ever gets a chance to catch a gold he'll be thrilled. He's also very protective, almost to a fault. He'll risk himself in the most dangerous situations to help anyone who he sees in risk and this could cause him to get into trouble more than once. He will be able to lead and he'll likely aspire for his lifemate to be Wingleader some day, then Weyrleader, though time will tell if he'll achieve such lofty heights.
Weyr of Origin: Arolos
Abilites and weaknesses: Musath is very strong and has a considerable amount of stamina -- he can easily last all Fall and still have the energy to do what needs to be done. He also has a fondness for maneuvers that are best left to the greens and blues, although his end up being much less small.
