Character type: Dragonrider
Appearance: Edan stands just over five-and-a-half feet tall, though his lanky frame makes him appear taller. Do not be fooled by his thin build, however, because his body is sinewy muscle, built up through years of working in the Weyr where he was born until he could present himself with pride as a Candidate. His eyes, set in an angular, bony face, are a muddy blue, and generally sport a twinkle of mirth. However, this is often hidden by his raggedly-shorn brown hair, which falls in his face and down to his shoulders. He tends to dress in very neutral colors, generally greys, and this emphasizes his deeply-tanned skin.
Personality: Edan has a smile for everyone and everything. The slightest thing will make him crack a grin and laugh, often, to his dismay, at inappropriate times. Would that he could catch himself before he chuckled at the Weyrwoman tripping over her hem! However, he carries himself with careless grace, and with a quiet sort of self-confidence. This has a tendency to endear him to his companions, and even people who don't know him well often find his humor infectious, as there is never any malice in it. Edan is also passionate in nature, and when he finds a cause he believes in, he supports it with all the fire of a flaming Bronze. Due to his flirtacious ways, this cause is often love, and though it is the short-lived type of love common among younglings, he champions it nonetheless.
History: Edan was born and raised in Telgar Weyr, to a Harper mother who frequented the Weyr...and its Blue and Brown riders. To this day, Edan is unsure of his father's identity, though in the long run, it hasn't mattered. His mother returned to her home when Edan was only five years old, after giving him the choice of returning with her or remaining in the Weyr. It was a huge descision at such a tender age, but Edan elected to remain at the Weyr, where his friends were, and where he might - someday - Impress one of those great, magestic beauties that inhabited the Weyr. Since then, he has risen in the eyes of his peers, proving himself through his hard work. Any task assigned to him, he set to with a will and only a tiny bit of good-natured grumbling. Wanting to prove his worth to the Dragonriders, Edan would not rest when his day's work was done, but instead put himself through rigorous training, performing stamina runs, strengthening his wiry body, and also exercising his mind by reading each and every text he could find that pertained to Dragonkind.
Information about E'an (Edan)'s pets
Pet Name: Odds
Pet Type: Feline
Appearance: Odds is a small, slender feline, with dark brown tabby markings. Her eyes are a bright blue-green, and her whisker-framed face is pointed. Jokes run rampant that, because of their slight physical similarities, Edan and Odds were born of the same litter.
Personality: A present to Edan from his mother on his tenth birthday, Odds is named for the trouble she would cause as a kitten: she had a nasty tendency to go tearing through the kitchens - yowling, and apparently chasing her shadow - which would startle the Head Cook into yelling 'Odds Bobs, it's that stupid beast again!' and other, more colorful phrases. Odds has, thankfully, mellowed out a bit, and now pokes about a bit more decorously into people's business, being a nosy little thing. It is quite common for her to be seen draped across Edan's shoulders like a stole, though she has not bestowed this 'pleasure' upon anyone else.
Information about E'an (Edan)'s dragon
Dragon Name: Chimanzeth
Wing (Weyrling Group): Thunder Flame
Appearance: Hatched 220.127.116.11 from the Tainted Bronze Egg:
Personality: This dark bronze's intelligence is already amazing. He'll be so bright that more than one person will remark he's got the workings of a gold in his head. He's a very social hatchling and will carry that trait through to adulthood. While others of his clutch just want to be left alone, Chimanzeth will do his best to get them all together just to talk, and groom each other. He's a nitpicking bronze when it comes to grooming and he'll constantly want to preen the others in his clutch and later on all those that will let him. He'll seldom be found alone on the heights, or his ledge. He'll bring any willing dragon with him and preen them until the other dragon is crooning with delight. Of course, Chimanzeth will liked to be groomed as well, and will drop big hints that once he's through grooming his subject it's his turn. Very active as soon as day breaks, this little bronze is up and at 'em in a moments notice. He loves to go foraging, much to his lifemate's chagrin. He'll find a berry bush and strip the thing of all berries in no time at all. That's not to say he doesn't love his meals of raw meat; he does, he just has that tendency towards picking that extends even to his food.
Weyr of Origin: Arolos
Abilites and weaknesses: A wonderful listener, and a remarkable learner, it won't be surprising if Chimanzeth eventually attains Wingleadership. He will last long in fall and have a charming way of commanding that will make others naturally want to follow his leadership. Unfortunately, he's very picky, and that might very well get aggravating after a while!
