CerinaName Pronounced: Cer-ee-na (emphasis on the -ee-, soft c) Appearance: Cerina certainly doesn’t look like she belongs in the hot Southern sun. Blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin, this girl will be at the constant mercy of nasty sunburns. She has a friendly, round face with delicate features. Cerina has nice round curves and is average in both height and posture. Her blonde hair is a few inches over shoulder length and just a little curly, though it frizzes quickly in damp climates. Since arriving on the Southern continent, Cerina has learned to keep her hair up, mostly in a bun, because when working, the tangled mess just gets in her way. Personality: Cerina’s personality is usually described as friendly, pleasant and a bit shy. When first meeting new people, she will smile, blush and avoid looking the other in the eyes. It is only when you get to know her better, you will see she’s a great laugh as well. Once she gets to know people, her sharp wit and sarcastic sense of humour usually take them by surprise. Cerina is a hard-working and passionate girl, once she commits to something, she absolutely has to finish it off. Another hidden aspect of her personality is her rage. When you do something to set it off, you will have to go a long way before you can even begin to think of reconciling with her. Once angered, Cerina is unreasonable, stubborn and sometimes downright cruel. However, the persistent can, in the end, win her over with solid arguments. It might just take a whole lot of determination and a very thick skin. History: Cerina was born in a small trader caravan and was raised by her mother Rinalan. Her father was never in the picture. When she was old enough to ask, her mother told her her father had died and that was all information she ever got on her other parent. Moving around Pern with the caravan Cerina made only few friends, but was quite content with her life anyway. She loved animals and there were plenty around for her to tend to. It was only a natural step that when she became of an age to apprentice, she chose beastcrafting and settled in Keroon. After seven years of hard work, Cerina was starting to aim for her journeyman’s knots. She started a project on animal behaviour and to complete her research she requested a transfer to the South. There she hoped she’d be allowed to work with the Dolphincrafters for a while and pay a visit to Calamere Hold for extra research on firelizards. And from there on, well, maybe she might just pay a visit to the Weyr and include dragons in her ambitious plans. Things worked out quite differently though, the visit to the Weyr was quite a lot sooner than planned. And on the back of a Searchrider no less! Soon after settling in to her new home a dragonrider declared her a fit candidate for the next clutch. It was a tough call for Cerina, chosing between her craft and the possibility of becoming a dragonrider, but in the end she decided to take the chance. She was told she could still continue with her craft as a candidate. And if she didn't impress, at least she got the chance to learn all there was to learn about dragons! Information about Cerina's dragon Dragon Name: Shesadith Colour: Green Age: 0 Wing (Weyrling Group): None Appearance: Shesadith is a slender, sinewy green. She is a little on the tall side for a green and longer than normal. Her thin-build will leave her looking a bit stretched out, but not so far as to be unattractive. She won't easily gain weight, partly due to that natural thinness, and partly because she'll prefer to gorge all at once and then go longer than most dragons before she eats again. Her lifemate will have to work hard to keep her from getting thick tail when she's younger, and from waiting so long she starts to weak from not eating. Personality: Shesadith is a green among greens -- she lives the stereotype, at least to a point. Oh, she flirts, she plays, she is a tiny bit flightly, but when things are important, Shesadith buckles down. When it comes to her duties she doesn't need to be reminded twice that her job, her task, whatever her rider needs done, is important. It needs to be done and it needs to be done well. But that doesn't mean she won't show a glimmer of slyness when it comes to trying to achieve that task. Weyr of Origin: Arolos Abilites and weaknesses: Remains to be seen.
