Name Pronounced: breh-VAUGN
Appearance: At the moment of his transfer, Br'von will no doubt draw some comparisons to a massive wooly herdbeast. He is a large man, at least six and a half feet with a heavy build and mounds of dense muscle. His dark blue eyes are small and narrow, and his nose, beyond being slightly crooked and a bit small, is unremarkable. He's allowed his thick brown hair to grow long and wild, and when released from its braid falls in waves to the center of his back. His wiry beard is the same shade as his hair, tinged with bits of bronze and gray. As the heat of the South begins to wear on him, Br'von will consider removing the thick layer of hair he hides under, but for now, he's content to stubbornly hang on to his past.
Personality: A pleasure-seeking hedonist, Br'von is a firm believer in the "live and let live" philosophy. As long as no one is interfering in his pursuit of happiness, he is a content and likeable person. He doesn't instigate, take sides or hold grudges for long periods of time, though in matters of principle, he will be inclined to stand his ground. Socially, he is warm, gregarious and after a few drinks very loud. He has a love for the spotlight and some very typical male vices: drinking, women and a competitive and gambling streak, all of which get him into a great deal of trouble.
History: Br'von was born as Brivon, the brawny eldest son of a miner named Theran and his young wife, Leinia in the snow and sleet of High Reaches Hold. He was the golden child, the long awaited son after a streak of five girls. Surrounded and influenced by the women in his life, Brivon was a softer, gentler child than his father would have liked from his only son. In his opinion, the boy showed entirely too much emotion and too much interest in his sisters' activities, a "problem" Theran took great pains to remedy. Impressionable and eager to please, Brivon took his father's corrections and shaming to heart, but also learned to hide his occasional disobedience in order to avoid punishment.
Information about Br'von's dragon
Dragon Name: Melanth
Wing (Weyrling Group): InfernoStorm
Appearance: Melanth is a handsome brown, neatly proportioned despite a wide head and eyes larger than most. Measuring on the larger side of average, his lean muscles favor agility and speed over stamina. His hide is a deep and attractive shade of traditional dark brown, like rich farming soil after it's rained. There are a few random scars marking his body - a handful of minor scores from Threadfall, and three stripes of nearly black scar tissue behind his left armpit from a mating flight accident.
Personality: Though not unfriendly, Melanth is more reserved than his rider. The brown is a people watcher and is quiet enough that it's easy to forget him lurking in the background, eavesdropping. For the most part, information is safe with him. He does have a mischievous side though and will torment the more gossipy dragons with a chorus of "I-know-something-that-you-don't-know." Watching others try to learn his secrets is endlessly amusing to him.
Weyr of Origin: High Reaches
Abilites and weaknesses: He's accurate with his flame and rarely misses a clump he's targeted. In good flight conditions he can last a full Fall with a bit to spare, but high winds can be tiring and cause him to drop out a bit early. He's good for short bursts of speed and some acrobatics, but uses them sparingly.
