At'myr (Atsemyr)Name Pronounced: At-meer Appearance: Standing at the tall and steady height of six feet tall even, At'myr can be a bit of an intimidating figure to some who don't share his height or his size. With broad shoulders and lean muscles, it is clear that he has spent the good majority of his life as a dragonrider. Moving in a smooth and well restrained manner, it almost seems as though he is holding something back, possible waiting for something to happen. For every moment that he makes, even his simple walking motions would appear to be movements that are made with very precise thoughts about every fraction of a movement that was made. With the structure of his face, a smile or a smirk almost looks unnatural to those who do not really know him. With his cheeks being straight and narrowing near his chin, a stern and serious demeanor almost seem more natural on his face. Personality: With multiple layers being part of his personality, the part that those who do not know At'myr on a personal level see him as being the solid figure of a calm, strong, and patient man who has the turns of experience to pass on to the young. After raising three of his own children, he has learned a lot about how to handle youth. Especially a lot about how to be patient with them and about the different phases that they seem to go through. All the while, holding a calm patience about himself that while he lets the youth get what they need to out of their system, and the continue to hold strong on being able to instill in them the values of being a proper rider and just an all around decent person. It was something that his father had instilled in him when he was younger, it was something that he instilled in his children when they were growing up, and it is something that he strides to instill in all of the weyrlings under his care. History: Benden Weyr was home for Atsemyr (at-sim-eer). His family, on his father's side, were more dragonriders whereas his mother had recently been Searched. Once she'd done her part, Atya lost any interest in the child but S'mir remained in Atsemyr's life. He instilled a sense of honor to his son, where one must take responsibility for themselves and those who can't defend themselves. To that end Atsemyr joined Candidacy the moment he became old enough. Information about At'myr (Atsemyr)'s pets Pet Name: Amyntas (a-MIN-tass) Pet Type: Blue Wher Appearance: Coming in at a rather solid weight of eight hundred and sixty pounds, Amyntas is quite obviously a very large and strong wher for his color. He is quite the intimidating sight to set eyes on. Every ounce of him is just pure strong muscle and it is clear that he is fully capable of using it. With very powerful legs, it is obvious that his muscle is not for just strength, but for speed as well to help him while he is running for weather it is breeding purposes or hunting purposes. With a strong and powerful jaw to go with those very strong and powerful legs, it is clear that the only thing that he can not bring down is a fully matured dragon. Personality: Despite what one would first think when they first see him and see how big he is, Amyntas is actually almost the opposite of what one would think. He is not all aggression and all bite. He is actually very inactive and rather lazy. In fact, he spends about twenty hours of the day doing nothing but laying around or sleeping. Although he does have some random bursts of activity throughout the night, it is around dusk when he is most active. As to why this is, it is unknown. It is just part of who he is and it is just part of his personality. A very strong part of his personality. Second Pet Name: Leocadio (lee-oh-KAY-dee-oh) Pet Type: Brown Wher Appearance: Coming in at the sturdy height of three feet and nine inches tall at shoulder, Leocadio gives quite the towering impression! While he is considered normal height for his breeding, his really long combined with his lean body build gives the impression of a towering force of power. That is not to say that he is anything less than the powerful for that he is! Oh, yes, he has a lot more force behind him than one may think! Weighing in at a seven hundred and seventy-five pounds, his body is covered in strong and lean muscles. With an average sized body, but with all of his other extremities being longer than average, it's no wonder his lean appearance could be seen as misleading. Despite his odd proportions to his body, the most noticeable of his long extremities is his tail. Long and whip-like in appearance, it can often be found whipping around behind him in a very curious fashion. Personality: While whers can be consider to be "wild" and "hard to control" by those that do not own them, Leocadio is quite the opposite. While he is half wild in breeding, his personality definitely does not show it. In fact, he is a very well trained wher and even seems to like going through training lessons with his owner! Considering who is owner is though, no less could be expected as his owner requires nothing less than exceptional training. Even when it is a day that he is not to work on his training with his owner, he is often one to convince his owner to work with him anyhow. His owner believes that he has a strong drive to work and that this is why he is so eager to go through training. Information about At'myr (Atsemyr)'s dragon Dragon Name: Gaticath (Gah-tea-ka-th) Colour: Brown Age: 33 Turns Wing (Weyrling Group): WeyrlingMasters Appearance: Coming in at the rather long length of thirty-five feet, Gaticath's length easily rivals that of a small bronze! With the long length of his tail and the long length of his neck, he easily fits into the size range of a bronze on the length scale. However, that's the only area where he rivals the size of a small bronze as, even though he is long, he is rather disproportionate for his length. Next to his enormous length, the first thing that a person notices about him is that he is on the rather slender side for a brown. With long limbs and a very slender build from all of his lean muscle, he definitely has a very gangling appearance to him. Almost like a teenager going though puberty. While he is in the length of a small bronze, he is rather short for his length, which only adds to his disproportional image. However, his wings are the proper size for his height, just not his length, which could pose a number of problems for him when it comes to flying in Thread Fall. Luckily for him, he has very muscular shoulders to help make up for his rather small wings. Personality: The biggest part of his personality is that Gaticath has this really strong desire to protect. He does not know what it is he is suppose to protect or who it is exactly that he is suppose to protect, but he just has this feeling deep inside of him that he is here to be a protector. While he had some confusion over who or what exactly it was that he was suppose to be protecting, he had eventually came to conclusion that he is suppose to protect just about everything. His lifemate's offspring, the young weyrlings, and even other dragons. He will protect anything that he sees as needing protection. Weyr of Origin: Benden Abilites and weaknesses: When it comes to his abilities, Gaticath has one amazing memory span for a brown. While it may not be as good as a bronze's memory, it is exceptional for a brown. He can quote his lifemate almost word for word long after most browns would of forgotten what their lifemates had said to them at the same moment in time. On top of his amazing memory, he is one of the fastest browns of his size. In fact, he is practically built for speed! While his body is disproportionate, he is basically built for speed and being fast in the air. While he is not very good at maintaining his fast speed, he is very good at picking up his speed very quickly.
