AsiraName Pronounced: Ah-seer-ah Appearance: Asira is small and spritely, slight of build and quite lithe. She isn't as soft and curvaceous as other young women her age - instead she's compactly built and athletic. Her hair is short and dark, usually somewhat unkempt and rakishly styled. Cut just above her shoulders, it still lends her a feminine air without getting in her way. Her cheekbones are very high, her face small - her eyes seem quite large when set against such a small face, actually. Large and dark and enigmatic. Asira tends toward revealing clothing, preferring to move unrestricted. Not that there's a lot to see, granted.. Personality: Irreverent and easygoing, Asira has little use for dramatics or being overly feminine. She's brash and impulsive, has a sharp sense of humor (which can sometimes upset even those close to her) and a wicked talent for finding absolutely the most fun things to do. Sure, sometimes these things can be dangerous and are usually ill-advised.. but a good time is usually assured. History: Born and raised at Telgar Weyr, Asira always knew that she wanted to be a dragonrider. She took great pleasure in watching the Hatchings as a child. The dragons enthralled her, the Impressing Candidates made her green with envy and childish awe, and she longed for the days when she would be one of those standing on the Sands, waiting for a dragon to choose her. Information about Asira's dragon Dragon Name: Takarth Colour: Blue Age: 3 turns Wing (Weyrling Group): Direflame Appearance: Takarth is about the size of your typical blue, with elongated foreclaws and almost oversized hindclaws, giving him a sort of klutzy, out-of-porportioned appearance, though once he's in the air, he's amazingly graceful, performing breathtaking feats of acrobatics that could nearly match any green in Flight. His coloration is strange, though... a dark ocean-blue criss-crossed with a lighter aquamarine color - looking at him often envokes memories of sun glinting off of the open ocean. His wings, however, are midnight - so dark they almost look black - and where wings meet back, they fade into the oceanic color the rest of his hide is. His tail is the same midnight color, as though he dipped it into a well of ink and he let it drip-dry - and just never washed it off. His hindquarters are speckled with minute Threadscores - a result of his first flight fighting Thread, when he was too busy flaming to pay attention to the unimportant 'bites' on his back. Personality: Takarth is a very attentive blue, which is unusual for any dragon, really - very curious about the little things, like why His is wearing that particular shirt when it doesn't compliment her eyes at all, or how on Pern she could find that girl attractive when she isn't smart enough to herd wherries. He's always asking questions, and often more than once in a day - but by the same token, he's also quick to comment on the things he remembers, like the idea of changing out the shirt His is wearing for the one she was wearing the day before, which is so much nicer anyway, or what about that boy, you know, the one that was actually *smarter* than the canine he was trotting about the Weyr. It makes him popular with the greens - he knows better than to ask them things and instead sticks to complimenting them on how pretty they always look in the sun. A very charming blue, Takarth - when he isn't bluntly pointing out everything wrong with a particular...anything. And if he ever makes it into the clear blue water of the Southern Sea, it's going to be sharding difficult to get him out again. Weyr of Origin: Telgar Abilites and weaknesses: His attention to detail makes him a wonderful wingpartner, once he's learned the flying habits of those in his wing - he instinctively tries to compensate for the shortcomings of his wingmates. This also means he tries to be in about five places at once, and sometimes ends up simply flailing in midair, if not strictly controlled by his rider. Often, though, he's simply where the other dragons -aren't-, catching what would otherwise be missed. Sometimes he *between*s a little too close for comfort, which might equal danger in the future...
