AliyaName Pronounced: ah-LEE-ah Appearance: Aliya stands at 5'1" with an average build for her height, though she has a fair bit of muscle as is common among riders. Her skin is tan in color, an even beige with hints of mocha. She rarely tans darker than that, even as a native of Igen, but it's even more rare to see her sunburnt. Her face is thin and heart-shaped, with a small nose and thin lips almost perpetually pressed into a frown. Her eyes are light blue, framed by thin black eyelashes, and there is an ice in them that lets most people know she's keeping them at arms length...if not further. She has straight ebony black hair that flows down to end just past her shoulders, but it's usually tied back. She is fond of efficient hairstyles, something that keeps it out of her face and doesn't leave it free to tangle in everything. Her one concession to vanity is the feathery black bangs that fall on her forehead, most likely an attempt to pacify Sivanoth with her appearance. Personality: Having grown up as a raider, Aliya is not much like the average rider. She is suspicious of everyone's motives and finds it very hard to trust anyone. Of course that may have something to do with being betrayed back at Igen Weyr by the one she had trusted the most. History: Aliya was born to a modest family of traders that often traveled between Igen hold and Lemos hold. For the first few sevendays of her life, her family stayed in Igen Hold until they felt that it was safe to travel with her. Once she was a month old they set out with the trading caravan, on their way to a gather at Lemos hold. Nobody could have foreseen what happened next, which would change Aliya's future. A band of holdless raiders attacked the trading caravan. After the initial attack in which the raiders gained the upper hand, they decided on a course of action that left most of the traders alive. They tied them to their runners and sent them off, leaving the raiders free to loot the caravan. Information about Aliya's dragon Dragon Name: Sivanoth Colour: Blue Age: 8 Wing (Weyrling Group): CloudDancers Appearance: Sivanoth is a small blue, suited well to quick maneuverabilty and turns that can nearly match a large green's. He's a dark dragon, mostly a swirling midnight blue all over his hide. It's easy to miss him once dusk falls, and sometimes even Aliya wouldn't be able to find him if it wasn't for his glowing eyes. His ridges are a dark blue that borders on black, and this color dominates the edges of his wings and paws, almost like an outline. The sails of his wings are a lighter color, although the dark blue traces the edges of all the wing joints, and the effect is rather impressively pretty. Across his chest and left side are a thin splattering of speckles, such a light blue they almost seem white. These speckles look almost exactly like a starry night sky, however, staring at them too hard only causes your eyes to unfocus. Scars from Threadscore stand out like beacons on his dark hide, almost every one appears to be minor, however, and on close inspection it's obvious this dragon and his rider are either very lucky, or very good. Personality: Sivanoth is a friendly dragon who enjoys the company of others, though it doesn't matter to him whether that company is human or dragon. Like his rider he tends to be rather proud, especially of his hide, which he insists attracts a lot of attention. He can be vain and will not abide by not being bathed and oiled at least once a day, more if he had his way, but Aliya constantly reminds him of wasting time. Weyr of Origin: Igen Abilites and weaknesses: Sivanoth is a good judge of character and has the ability to search out good potential candidates. He's also very agile and maneuverable in the air, though his stamina suffers because of it. The small things in life he has a hard time remembering, such as why he is mad at someone. However, he seems to have a pretty good talent for remembering names.
