Al'dairName Pronounced: Al-der Appearance: Al'dair has those good looks that instantly draw attention, though he has no clue how to use that attention to his advantage. Strong, slightly roughly chiseled features in combination with a tanned complexion, and intelligent hazel eyes make for an attractive match. High cheekbones and a subtle feminine quality make him stand out from a crowd, though not in an entirely undesirable manner. A few freckles dot the slopes of his cheeks, a bit of a 'cute' marr on his countenance. His dark blonde hair is cut short enough to be comfortable beneath the tight helmet and for easy management, but just long enough to run one's fingers through. Personality: Al'dair has that charming demeanor which attracts people from across the room. Exuberent gestures and an easy-going smile make him an easily approachable person. He's quick with laughter, even faster to toss out a joke, and an ordinarily good conversationalist. A wide range of topics make chatting with him interesting, but one may find that he likes to ramble on and on about certain things he finds particularly fascinating and it can border on annoying. But, those who can ignore that quickly find themselves with a jovial, laid-back man. History: Born as Alasdair, Al'dair was raised in a small cothold near Forest Edge, affectionately referred to as Little Tree Hold. He was the youngest of two, though it proved not to be an unfavorable position. Rules were lax for him, and he was allowed to run relatively wild as a child, frequently found at the heart of a prank within the Hold. He adored his elder brother Alidren, and would behave only under his watchful eye. Information about Al'dair's pets Pet Name: Ceres Pet Type: Brown Firelizard Appearance: Ceres is a warm auburn hue, with reddish undertones and fiery amber highlights that make his form appear to never be the same color from any angle. He's a relatively small brown, perhaps due to the small amount of food he received as a youngling, but he's healthy in all regards. Proportionate and sleek, he's less muscular than most brown fire-lizards, but incredibly fast when it comes down to it. Personality: Ceres likes nothing more than to sit on Palindrath's head and sun with her. He's posessive, and seems more attatched to the flighty green dragon than Al'dair himself, something that the greenrider has found particularly annoying. But he is quite fond of Al'dair, and any other fire-lizard that comes near is often bombarded with shrill squeals and welcomed with bared fangs. Thankfully, he doesn't mind other humans, though, and will warm up to someone considerably after a gift of food. Information about Al'dair's dragon Dragon Name: Palindrath Colour: Green Age: 10 Wing (Weyrling Group): None Appearance: A pale, olive green over the majority over her sleek body darkens to a nearly shadowy forest verdant on all four legs and mid-way down her long tail; it almost appears as though she should leave inky green footprints where ever she goes. Very dark green splotches - closely resembling what would have been called 'leopard spots' on Terra - appear in an even pattern over her form, the spots varying in size from a span atop her back to very small points on her legs and head, their sizes shrinking from the largest to blend smoothly with the smaller. The tiny spots become more infrequent down the length of her muzzle before disappearing completely at her snout. Personality: "..Because I know everything, silly," was Palindrath's explination of something once. And she certainly likes to think she does; something she reminds her rider of constantly. She's a chatterbox in the fullest extent of the title, willing to talk to anyone and anything that will listen. It's not wise to attempt to contradict her 'knowledge' for she'll argue to the point of exhaustion. She is, however, not the least bit haughty or cruel, and in fact warm-hearted and kind. She continually dotes in a motherly manner over the weyrlings whom she is so fondly admires. Perhaps "motherly" really would describe her well, though she has a tendancy to find annoyance in nearly anything if her mood isn't right and she'll resort to caustic comments or blunt ignorance when pushed far enough. Palindrath is, however, quite a friendly dragon when it comes down to it. She won't object to tedious tasks nor passengers, for in fact - as they are rather stuck on her back - they become quick victims of her constant chattering. With an admonishing reprimand from Al'dair, however, she will quiet, and sulking is not uncommon, but it doesn't last long. A short attention-span and memory can be seen as a hinderence, though gentle reminders from her rider frequently enough with cement things in her mind. Weyr of Origin: Fort Abilites and weaknesses: Incredibly fast in the air, very agile.
