Name Pronounced: Av...an...duh
Appearance: A’vander is the kind of man a casual observer’s eye skips over in self-defence: he has needy [or, perhaps neurotic] tattooed across his forehead. He has a generally appealing, though unexciting, face, with high strong cheekbones. He is ultimately pretty forgettable
Personality: Your first glimpse of A’vander will leave you less struck by anything physical then the sense of pleading in his eyes- for what is anyone’s-including his- guess! That rather sums him. In the right mood, he is affable and entertaining company. He is surprisingly efficient and inherently, almost obsessively, methodical. He also suffers from bouts of wavering indecision that make even the gentlest natured want to give him a swift kick. If he should come to a decision, however, it will be executed surprisingly firmly and swiftly- or, impulsively, which is not always wise.
History: A’vander lived the childhood of any weyrbrat, roaming Weyr grounds, sneaking peaks at and generally getting where he shouldn’t and doing what was forbidden. He tended to get away with it- because the crèche workers thought him cute or sweet, and a certain presence of mind and quick tongue that still surfaces was often enough to talk him out of trouble. All in all, his childhood was a pretty content one.
Information about A'vander's dragon
Dragon Name: Sivath
Wing (Weyrling Group): StormHearts
Appearance: Sivath is a deep, rich brown. The highlights in his hide are all those of a well polished, antique armoire- caramel highs and dark lows, all with a deceptive glint and polish implying depth. Since he is usually kept pristine, and well oiled, it is usually shown off to its best as well.
Personality: Sivath is everything A’vander is not. Phlegmatic, unflappable and calm, he is very much the storm anchor that keeps A’vander from flying totally off the handle. He is measured, and as thoughtful as dragons get, in pretty much every move he makes. In a mating flight, he wouldn’t be the one performing dare-devil rolls and acrobatic stunts- he’d be the one waiting to drop down from somewhere unexpected. Within the confines of draconic memory, he can be canny and cunning, and occasionally somewhat ruthless, and he relishes getting his own way. He knows his partner adores him, but he likes to see devotion from outside parties too. Whilst not exactly vain, he will never say no to an admiring comment or three.
Weyr of Origin: High Reaches
Abilites and weaknesses: Sivath is a solid, absolutely typical brown. Or was. Sivath’s eye has *not* recovered as well as the healer’s are perhaps deluded into thinking by he and his rider’s machinations. There’s definite vision damage there, more than physical damage suggests. It’s probably foolishly stupid of them to be hiding it as they are...but all Sivath wants is to get back in the sky. Back to somewhere he remembers things making sense. They’ve had enough taken from them otherwise. And A’vander’s willing to do most anything including risking their lives to stop his brown’s heart getting bust up a third time. At least thread would kill them together..unlike what they have already faced.
